oh, absolutely! and of course there's even room for variation within the culture, as i think shadow might've already mentioned karkat's and his murder clown. the two of them with kanaya actually give a good range, karkat being generally not as cool with killing, kanaya having no qualms with doing it for a purpose, gamzee just being being full on awful. so you have karkat being protective of gamzee because boyfriend problems, and kanaya unsuccessfully trying to kill him for over two years because sorry little bro but you're boyfriend is a serial killer. she's stubborn.
