The same reason they picked a former chemistry teacher from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Maybe they want to build a team out of the most mundane citizens? Or maybe they see something in us that we don't see in ourselves? I'm of the same belief that superheroes with superpowers are things of fiction. There would have to be a great suspension of disbelief for me to accept this as a new reality. But I do have another thought.
