Keeping the toxin sampling for later makes perfect sense - he'll need time to develop it anyway. Then, like you say, he'll need test subjects. I'd still love to develop their positive-seeming CR, though. Because it lets me play with another angle to everything. Plus like you say, Crane's a nice guy. Nothing can go wrong. Nothing at all.
