TRY #2 at a better TL;DR now that I've thought about it and I'm at home and not on mobile.
It starts the same way.
Walter is so sensitive, sentimental and reactive that Abduxel forgets he's this big bad drug lord sometimes. If Lucifer is Abusive Daddy, Walt is Sad Daddy. He perceives Walter as an unstable father figure searching to fill some son-shaped hole in his life. He's heard about Walt's wife and child briefly, and Jesse, and recognizes that Walter feels a lot of guilt. Being something of a guilt/shame demon, he just fucking loves that, which is in part why you'll never hear him reassure someone like Walt that 'I'm sure you did all you could' or something. He finds Walter's kind of sad sack family-man routine bizarre but endearing. He really never had a father figure that was the Western kinda ideal of gentle-caring-friendship-dad, and besides, he was an enormous disappointment and burden to his own family. Familial affection is not really so much a thing in Hell, additionally. So he doesn't honestly know how to handle it when Walter starts sentimenting at him - but he kind of likes it, the attention and the care, and it also provides a nice foothold for building trust (real or imagined) with Walt. There was definitely some thought-out intention to his picnic date, for example, as he saw how Walter opened up to him with the ice cream thing and saw opportunity to manipulate him into valuing and trusting Abduxel. At the same time, he thinks of it as more dishonest (on his own part) than it really is, because to him Walter is young, but the truth of the matter is that Abduxel never really matured past his death-age and was barely "mature" to begin with - so he does get some genuine satisfaction out of feeling cared for by Sad Daddy, and he just isn't really self-aware enough to recognize it.
He likes Walter, and he trusts Walter in a sense. More than a lot of people, anyway. "Trust" with Abduxel is kind of a weird thing. He's a bit reckless with his safety and will be vulnerable around Walt, and he was honest about who/what he is, but he doesn't confide in him because too many threads of the truth will lead to the fact that he is kind of betraying Walter. When it comes to his intentions and desires, he really is #teamfriendship. He likes Walter, he likes Walter's money, etc. If he were a better person he would feel guilty for betraying him, but he represses any guilt by rationalizing that he's doing what he needs to. His bond with Lucifer is all-encompassing and eternal, and to disobey carries consequences so great and long-lasting that he just ... can't ... do anything else. Walt owns Abduxel's employment but Lucifer owns his soul. But he's not happy being a dog on a leash no matter who's holding it, so he is constantly gnawing at the boundaries of his agreements to steal a bit of extra freedom and skim off the top. Of the people Abduxel is doublecrossing, Walt is actually the one he'd most like to go along with (though that doesn't preclude that whole gnawing-at-boundaries thing) as long as he decides Walt's requests are to his tastes (e.g. not talking to Chilton? not to his tastes, must not be important). He's searching quietly for a way to undermine Crane, because he feels so obligated to do Lucifer's bidding but he hates him and he hates Crane, but he can't risk Walter knowing that Crane and Abduxel are "in league" due to the severe consequences. He does want to shield Walt from Crane and demonstrate whose side he's "really" on (except spoiler he's ultimately only on his own side - but he has preferences!) but can't yet find a way to do it without admitting that he's working with Crane.
Maybe this is a little ironic since Abduxel is Literally A Demon but he also doesn't see just how dark Walter really is, yet. He has never seen him torture or kill, and would be genuinely surprised to hear of it.
Oh also your fake-son is an asshole and you should ditch him and just give Abduxel all your care and money.
