Sabriel's interactions with Magicman during the horseman plot have given her a bit of a different perspective on Magicman- she still trusts him and sees him as someone with more experience than her, and she still feels he can protect himself from other people/outside threats just fine... she's starting to think that his greatest enemy is himself, and she's not sure how to protect him from that.
So in the future, she's more likely to be paying more attention to what he does and says.
