Klarion actually likes Traci way more than he expected to. She's a ton of fun to hang out with, whether they're just chatting, getting ice cream, breaking into Disneyworld, or stealing hats, and she's never once tried to lecture him about using magic responsibly. Hell, she seems to have just as much fun with it as he does, and she makes a great partner in crime. They're terrible influences on each other, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Also, she tried to help him out in the dreamscape during the nightmare incident, that counts for a lot.
On the other hand, now that he's seen her in action, he's pretty sure that Traci's magic is more powerful than his, and that makes him stupidly jealous (although he's smug about not having to use rhyming couplets for spells, he's taking his victories where he can!). He's already tried to trick her into giving him some power once, and he'll probably try again, but... he can't shake the feeling that if managed to get away with it, she wouldn't want to be friends anymore, and that bothers him for some reason. Klarion fails at Emotional Intelligence 101 and isn't used to having friends who aren't his cat, so he's dealing with this like a mature adult by telling himself that he'll steal from her later, when she least suspects it and the timing is just right, muahahahaa.
