TL;DR cr meme

THE TL;DR CR Meme

It's that time again and why not start it off with a heart warming and tragic foreshadowing gif?

1. Post with your characters - if you have more than one, make a catch all under one header.
2. respond to other people's characters with your characters.
3. They will tell you exactly what their character thinks of your character in depth! Icly or oocly! Make it long, this is teal deer territory after all.
4. React if you wish!
5. You can use this stuff for cr charts or you can even link to something you have written.
6. This is brought to you by irony from one of the more unfriendly characters in game.

See, but that's the best part!

But okay, hello, Hawke. Kasumi's first impression of her was that she was another one of those people pulled in from old-timey places (like Bull, and previously, Cullen) who are just so much fun to mess around with. But, alas--Hawke proved herself to be witty and quick and charmingly sarcastic much like Kasumi is, and damn, way to worm your way to Kasumi's heart, tbh. Not through her stomach, because we all know how that porridge tasted, and it ain't pretty. In any case, Kasumi had a good feeling about Hawke from the start, and much like Hawke, the meeting was a good sign for Kasumi, who honestly wasn't sure how she'd fit in with Archangel if it was going to be a legit superhero team. Because she is anything but.

Then they teamed up for that one gig, and then Kasumi was pretty much sold on the whole "Hawke is awesome" front. Hawke is probably the like, third? Mage? That Kasumi has met, but even then she hasn't quite seen magic like Hawke's. It's powerful and elemental and pretty frickin' sweet, and once they work out the whole not accidentally hitting Kasumi while she's invisible thing more smoothly she would probably be way down for more team-ups. Plus, getting to team up with someone who doesn't get annoyed with your random quips and witty commentary and flirtation while doing work? A++ in her book. Kasumi would never admit it, but she's a huge fan, too, because Hawke is this strange deviation from old-timey wizards she's read about in fantasy novels and that's amusing and refreshing at the same time. (Which probably means she will try to put Hawke in wizard robes sometime. Sorry.)

Hawke also strikes Kasumi as someone who carries a huge burden on her shoulder, but doesn't try to share that burden with anyone. Much like Shepard. And she hides behind sarcasm and humor, much like herself. That much she got from their conversation about the flowers--and then Famine struck, and while Kasumi's thoughts were a bit muddled, she will remember that Hawke had that moment of weakness and mentioned the killer. She won't bring it up--not for a while, anyway--because that's the kind of thing that she figures Hawke will talk about if/when she's ready. On Kasumi's end, her seeking Hawke out was definitely a product of her attraction to the woman (physically and personality-wise, congrats), and in the aftermath? Well, Kasumi's just glad she wasn't rejected or that Hawke didn't think it was terrible, although whether she'll act on that attraction again shall remain to be seen. For certain, at least, she doesn't regret that it happened (just maybe the way that it did. Since she was high and all, or whatever it was).

All in all, A+ partner-in-crime-for-justice, hell of a lot of fun to talk to and hang out (read: drink) with, and hey, we made out, that's... cool...

hey glitch heeeey

Okay, so, Kasumi knew Glitch was a troublemaker from the very start. She found him scaling a piece of public property (a statue, even) for crying out loud, but that basically means she's thought he was fun and liked him since day one. Because she's a troublemaker, herself, and to a certain extent he sort of reminds her of how she was when she was younger. Sassy, zero fucks, and zero chill--honestly, that's probably part of why she's naturally felt a need to sort of mother/mentor him! That, and she likes youngins who ask her questions about space--because she loves the hell out of space.

And then Archangel rolled around, and she wasn't quite sure how that might pan out at first, because she's nervous about younger people putting themselves in dangerous situations, but then again, she is n o t one to judge on that front (according to my headcanon, at least). So, again, she'll just stuck to that mothering/mentoring role, because she knows a natural troublemaker when she sees one, but the best she can do is to make sure he doesn't do anything too overly stupid (i.e., killing someone or irreparable mistakes vs. teachable moments tbh), which is why she treats him more like a partner junior than a kid when they're out on jobs.

Now, considering the deeper stuff: much like with everyone she's met here, so far, Kasumi suspects that there's much more to Glitch and where he's from than he usually lets on. Their first conversation about meeting were little warning signs in her head that things aren't quite the same where he's from, maybe, but it was his reaction to Pestilence that confirmed this all for her. That fatalistic way of looking at things, to her, is telling, and she's worried and wants to know more, but she would wait for Glitch to tell her on his own accord. Hearing it all probably crushed her a little on the inside, because it's all so unfair, so by the type Famine rolled around all she could think was, "Poor Glitch, he needs a hug." Hence, the hug. That, and Famine lowered her inhibitions against letting herself be close to people.

Kasumi cares about Glitch very much and would 110% try to low-key protect him even if he doesn't really need protecting (which is why, low-key, because he would protest against her like taking a hit for him but she would definitely low-key stick her foot out to trip a guy who was about to attack Glitch or something). Anyway, just, don't die, Kid.

Charlie Oliver Maxwell III where do I even freaking BEGIN.

Kasumi met Charlie at a time in her MoM life when she was still trying to find her way, still wondering how she fits into this all, if at all. At that point she'd limited her interactions to mostly just the Normandy crew, some dude named Peter Quill, and like, two teenagers who clicked with her and she felt needed her guidance/protection/whatever. She knew there was something special about him from the moment she saw him twirling his fingers, but honest to god, she did not expect she would come to care for and straight up love this adorable wizard when she first started teasing him about the whole finger twirling thing. Because she always keeps people at arm's length, but somehow Charlie managed to worm his way into her sad, cold, lonely heart because he's unlike anyone she's ever met before.

Because he's from a world that's entirely different--when she's with him, she doesn't have to think about how there are giant cuttlefish destroying the galaxy back home. She doesn't have to worry about being on the run to keep Keiji's graybox safe. He gives her a sense of normalcy and relief that I'm not sure anyone else would be able to provide, at this point. He can fire her banter right back at her, he doesn't even question her shady character and the way she hides herself, and, just. She doesn't feel the need to be super extra dodgy with him, and she appreciates that so much without even realizing. For all the pretending she has to do back home and here, to an extent, she doesn't realize how much she needs someone to just be. With. Just someone to exist with like a normal person. That's Charlie for her.

So that she comes to trust him with her most personal details--the whole Keiji thing, for one, and then her appearance--both surprises her and doesn't. It surprises her because she's not supposed to talk about it, but she's still in the process of getting it through her head that here, nobody's coming after her for the graybox (not yet, at least). She has no reason, really, to hide except for the illegal things she does, which are just whatever compared to hiding the graybox. But it doesn't surprise her because out of anyone around, Charlie should know.

She's also gotten a lot of hints, by now, that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Charlie, either. Part of it is that she can't imagine living for as long as he has without having gone through some serious shit--but beneath Charlie's unfairly pretty blue eyes, Kasumi can see a touch of that burden and sadness. She wants, so badly, to be able to be there for him, but she doesn't drag things out of people that she really cares about (at least, not something that personal. Juicy gossip is obviously fair game gosh.), so she'll wait for him to be ready.

She would do anything for you, Charlie. ANYTHING. Protect him from everything because how dare anyone hurt her favorite person here, who's shown and reminded her of how nice it is to just be a person sometimes. To not be Kasumi Goto, the galaxy's best thief and a member of Shepard's crew, but just. Kasumi.

Oh, Ken. Precious, precious Ken.

Kasumi's very first impression of Ken was that he's a sweet little boy who's got some pretty interesting roommates. Like, congrats Ken, you have Charlie and Bull as roommates. They never really got a proper introduction to each other, but I imagine it was her visiting Charlie and getting introduced in that way, and a lot of stolen glances and little smiles because Kasumi would think that Ken is just precious and well-adjusted (ha... haaaa...). And then came their first conversation, and Kasumi found herself pretty intrigued by how much it felt like she was having a conversation with another adult, but no, she was talking to a babby. Intrigued, and a little worried, especially after the Shadows stuff came up. She was also fascinated by his reaction to aliens and space, because it took a philosophical turn instead of Ken being just, "oh neat, outer space! aliens!" and that pretty much solidified her impression of him as a precocious child with an old soul, and that's when she starts forming a bit of a protective urge for him.

After that conversation, I imagine that she says hi to him around the house, actually stops to chat with him about how school and life are going and such whenever she's around Nonah 005, when before she would have maybe just waved quietly and then went to hang out with Charlie or Bull. And I don't know if I've mentioned it on Plurk or elsewhere at all, but I definitely imagine her helping him with homework sometimes. Just like, casually walk by as he's working on it and tries to help with a hard math question and then leaves, that kind of thing.

The thing is, though, given what she knows about his world, Kasumi realizes that Ken has had to grow up faster than maybe he should have, because he has responsibilities that few others have and, well, that makes her heart ache a little bit. She hopes that being here gives him more of a chance to experience things that people his age should--you know, like school, hanging out with friends, getting into trouble that doesn't involve lethal weapons... And that hope has only grown ever since he reached out to her after his episode with Crane. Her protective instinct has grown, too, although she's still aware that you can't coddle children and--she's not really the coddling type, anyway. But if there's any way that she can help him, she would gladly do so. That he trusted her enough to talk to her about such a thing really touches her, and while she's still sort of struggling with the fact that people have come to trust someone like her, for Kasumi it's a subconscious reminder that she's not all that terrible of a person and that she--you know, is a person, because sometimes it's easy to forget that when you're so zoned into being a shadowy enigma that no one is supposed to even be aware of. She really appreciates that from people like Ken and Charlie.

Moving forward, she hopes that she didn't freak him out too badly with her sudden affectionate self during Famine. Broadly speaking, the flowers brought out of her the desire to be close to people again, after living for so long isolating herself after Keiji died; being a part of Shepard's crew was a gentle reminder of what having personal relationships can be like, and then getting to this place and meeting people like Ken has only reminded her of that further, hence the flowers kicking that desire into zero chill zone. For Ken, that meant showing him just how much their friendship means to her, and that will probably be one of the only famine'd interactions she won't deeply regret.

But all in all, yes, please enjoy your time on the sibling squad, Ken-kun.

Motoko, oh Motoko.

Kasumi is definitely starry-eyed at the Major, and finds her fascinating. But that she can back up her sheer level of "being interesting" with "being badass," well, that's just A+ in her book. I imagine that they've talked a lot more about tech from their worlds and tech here since they've met, like the one time they ran into each other in Maurtia Falls and probably plenty more at the hideout ever since Archangel started. Kasumi thinks they make a pretty great, kickass team, which honestly surprises her because she's gotten so used to operating solo again, or teaming up with people with wildly different skill sets from herself. The Major's skills are quite similar to her own, and that's pretty exciting, though that will probably give way to a little bit of a competitive spark at some point. All good-natured, of course, because Kasumi thinks Motoko is a hell of a lot of fun and a Class A Badass, and she respects that greatly.

Well, we all know that a hundred or so years into the future when Mass Effect takes place, Facebook will probably still rule the Earth alongside Google and if Kasumi Goto were to have one, she would also put down It's Complicated.

Because it is!

Whether you like it or not, Peter Quill, you're special to Kasumi. The exact nature of that remains to be figured out by her, if she ever bothers to, but the fact of the matter is: he was one of the first people she really hit it off with here, and the fact that he's of the same profession and also a spacer? What are the freakin' odds. She thinks he's a hell of a lot of fun, likes that he can keep up with her sass and--oddly enough, he's probably one of the first people in a long while to really return her flirtatious quips--and she just really likes their dynamic. But like a lot of other people she's met here, she's kept him at arm's length. Even despite the fact that he's even seen one of her memories. Sure, they've talked about how she stole the Mona Lisa and talked about the Reapers and I like to think that they did manage to exchange some stories about each other's jobs at some point, but still. Arm's length. But that's no fault of Peter's; if anything, Kasumi is a little afraid of getting closer to people, even in a friendly capacity, because well we all know what happened to Keiji. There have been a some exceptions, certainly (read: Charlie Maxwell and the sibling squad + Normandy crew) to that, just a handful of people who have managed to get Kasumi to talk more about herself, but with Peter, she hesitates.

Maybe part of that is because she's not quite sure where they stand, either. They're friends, first and foremost. Friends who flirt a lot. And by now she would even consider him a good friend just by virtue of how well they get along, but they also flirt? Like, a lot? Kasumi doesn't remember the last time, if ever, she had that dynamic with someone she considered just a friend (because Keiji was never "just a friend") and part of her really enjoys it, but part of her is a little hesitant. Now, you could say that she's gotten close to Charlie and others with no problems, but the difference here is that Kasumi is attracted to Peter. Like, okay, she has a crush on him. And she's had crushes after Keiji, sure, but none that she's gotten along with as famously as she does with Peter (cough, Jacob, who she also knows is going to be a babby daddy now). And on top of that, they've kicked some ass together, and she feels like she can trust him in that kind of situation as well, which is all just icing on the cake that is Star-Lord.

So, yeah, it's complicated.

And it's probably only gotten more so, at least on her end, because of the famine. It may not have been a big deal for Peter, but Kasumi's realized that the flowers weren't making her act affectionate out of the blue, but that they made her act that way because deep inside she wants to be affectionate with someone again. And that's scary as shit seeing how last time turned out, but it's forcing her to look at herself and her state of mind in a slightly different light. Although she won't act on it, because she's figured that Peter isn't a one-person kinda guy, and she's not in a state where she'd want to ask that of anyone, anyway. As for anything casual like picking up where they left off during famine--well, she's just going to. Cool it. For now. Because she doesn't know how to be a friend and a casual fuckbuddy either, and she doesn't want to mess up their friendship.

What she does want, however, is to get to know him better; they know a lot about each other on the surface, but in a way, famine did her some favors, because it's opened the door for her to maybe be more honest with herself around him. She's curious to know what his world (aka space minus reepurrs) is like and how he came to be a spacer and all that good stuff. So welcome to the Danger Zone too, Quill.

tl;dr I have no idea what I'm talking about anymore and she has kinda a crush on him but like they are friends and what do just ignore it ah ok cool cool
