no but really, walt is A+ in his book. not only did walt give him his own box of donuts but also he heaped on praises and if there's one thing kf likes more than food presents its being admired.
mostly walt just seems like an awfully nice guy who had a shitty thing happen, so kid will probably drop in on his business when it opens back up and make sure he's doin okay
and when he finds out this guy is a chemistry whiz, well, EVEN MORE REASON TO VISIT they can talk about chemistry like a couple of nerds
