It's definitely been long enough for it to be established that while Jaime thinks that Traci's amazing, he's stopped thinking of her as being perfect. Which also means that he's fallen out of infatuation into something a lot realer, and he's not sure what to do with it. This is his first ever relationship, she's the person he had his first ever kiss with, and he's always kind of tripping over himself on this fun journey of figuring out what a couple's supposed to be like, and the way they are. He still gets a little anxious about doing things right, but the rest of the time, he's enjoying himself.

The way he described Traci when Armin had asked him about her prior to her arrival was pretty simple -- she makes him smile. That hasn't changed. Even when she's not in the room, if he thinks about her, he's going to smile, and he's counting that one as a good thing. She makes him happy, and he thinks that she's absolutely incredible. She's generous and spontaneous and fun and brave and powerful and genuinely a good person, and for some reason she's chosen him of all people to date??? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??? What he's beginning to realize, though, is that she's also a giant dork, prone to blurting things out and regretting them afterwards in the same way that he is, delighting in the details, and indulging in, say, figuring out whether or not their genderswapped selves would still be hot. He's getting to know her more as a person, and that honestly only makes him like her more. He jumped into the relationship knowing how different they are, and as they've grown, he's begun to discover the ways in which they're similar too, which is a delight. Sometimes he wonders if he should say anything, but... ooh, getting serious is scary.

It's not all sunshine and roses, though! He's been able to see a lot of the troubles she's had in her life, and a lot of sadness. It's hard for him to wrap his head around the way she's lived, and how she can talk about missing her Dad and defend him in one breath before detailing something awful he's said to her in the next. Traci's never had a stable life, and she's had so many people die on her without having anyone around as emotional support, and he can't help but remember her questioning whether or not he'd actually want to hear a story as negative as hers. So, of course, he worries. He wants her to be okay, but he doesn't know how to fix it. She could stand to talk a little more about how she's feeling (they both could), and it's becoming increasingly clear just how used she is to being an independent party. They both need to figure out how to work together, but considering how Jaime's new to team-ups and relationships, every time he tries to bring it up, he feels like he's sort of fumbling across every conversation without a road map.

Of course, there's the question of how much of their relationship seems to revolve around their crazy lives, which makes them both sigh, but at least they're on the same page on that one. BASICALLY, it's new, and a little scary, but a heck of a lot of fun for Jaime. He adores Traci, and he doesn't see that ever changing.
