The bench is slightly obscured around the corner of the building from his perspective. He shook off the desire to hunt, only to be distracted by the scent of food near by. He emerges from the alley, looking around only to see a hotdog stand on the corner.

Getting mixed up the crowd helps, but there are some sudden gasps and murmuring of 'is that a giant cat?' or other things to that effect.

Within a couple of moments he returns to the bench and offers Tim a dog, several more in his other arm.

"Y'hungry?" Yeah, the guy probably didn't notice, but a gesture like this was more for himself than this kid.
