[ This had been a long day. It started with a surprise teleportation between worlds, and ended with the search for a body. The inbetween times have been interesting, too - Adam had appeared, and then Ronan, and then Noah. He was the one with the body, which is a new feat for him.
But there had been no Blue.
After Adam appeared, Gansey had thought he would not be surprised to see her. When Ronan followed, he had considered it likely. When Noah showed up, he'd decided it was a certainty, and thus, he's been waiting for her. He has not, of course, admitted to himself that he is waiting. But here he is, wandering De Chima's streets instead of making a concerted effort to find the place they'd told him to live in. Time passes, and he tells himself he is not waiting, and nor is he searching. He is merely exploring.
And growing more disappointed by the moment.
Until, finally, there she is. There she is, coming out of De Chima's porter building, where Gansey has parked himself for the last hour or so. There she is, all tufty spikes of dark hair pulled back from her face, as clear and real and present as if she'd been there all along. And he, of course, slides cheerfully into step with her, as though he too has been here all along and there's absolutely nothing strange about any of it. ]
Hello, Jane. [ Her name is Blue. That has always been the case, but he will always call her Jane. ] You took your time. Everyone's been waiting for you. What held you up?
