[That's not entirely true. If Manolo knew how he stood on the matter, he'd be pretty decisive about what to do next, consequences be damned. As things stand now, though, he's not sure how he feels about any of this. On one hand, he's willing to help protect innocent people. On the other, he doesn't like the idea of affiliating with the American military in any capacity, much less to tackle some kind of Communist "threat" that, to be perfectly honest, sounds like an excuse to harass other countries.
Instead of voicing all of that out loud, though, he simply admits:]
I'm gonna have to give it some thought, too. I've never really thought of myself as some kind of hero. [Even after everything he's seen, the word "hero" still makes him think of leather bandoliers and wind-worn capes.]
