Basically she just misses him. If Ben were here he'd know just what to do or say to cheer her up or distract her with something stupid. That's just how they were now, but he isn't. Neither he nor Kevin were here and she was alone. It wasn't that she couldn't get by on her own, it was more that she didn't want to. She wanted to be with her friends and do things together, but those friends were who knows how far away.
