Gansey thinks Hermann is clever, but single-minded, and that he's bearing a lot on his shoulders where Newt is concerned without looking to others for help. This is a good thing if it works, but a bad thing if it doesn't. Gansey hopes the consequences he'll have to face are not bad, but he's worried they will be.
