no fuck you

GOD THIS IS GOING TO GET INTO SOME PRE-CANNON BULLSHIT SO

Before the big fuck-you-solo-career, Greed probably had a pretty fine relationship with Lust. I imagine they worked together on a few things, what being kind of compliments to one another. I don't think they were buddy-buddies exactly, but they could probably tolerate one another to some extent. Of course, all that goes right out the window as soon as he leaves and he knows all too well the consequences. But their history was probably civil at first. Working towards a common goal and as time passed, it seems more than likely Greed was becoming more distant. Disappearing after "missions" from good ol'Pops. Until he just stopped showing up once and for all and that was that.

Whether or not he held a resentment against her? Probably very little. Maybe a bit snide (doesn't he call her a hag briefly in the manga?), but she's wasn't on the same tier of spitting-acid as Envy is/way/continues to be.

Until, of course: the great lava pit of 1912.

Since Greed's been transferred to Heropa and subsequently high-tailed it to Maurtia, having Lust around is kind of like the old days back in Dublith. Knowing she's there, that at any time they could cross paths and it could all go fucking south in a heart beat. He will consistently be confused as to why she's sticking to the plan. For him, it's all over - the Promised Day has come and gone and Father's plan went belly-up. He doesn't understand her loyalty to that idea and he never really will.

But he isn't surprised about how she views him. Traitor; turning his back on his species. On them. Greed knows too damn well she's violent and nothing is going to change that fact: she likes it too much, enjoys the thrill of it.

Does he pity her? Maybe. Slightly. Not enough that he cares to acknowledge it. More like someone watching a million-miles away. She's smart enough not to get caught and she's good at playing most into her charade.

Out of his siblings, he knows she's more vicious than she appears. Here, though, he's curious. What she plans to do, what she knows. But he's not too interested in meeting face to face anytime soon. Like I said, it's Dublith all over again: she knows he exists and he knows she's around. Whether or not old-history will come around for a blow or two?

He's just waiting for it.

Basically: no, he doesn't like her. No, they aren't going to be good pals. And if anyone asks, he'll probably tell them about her. But he won't actively seek anything out.

Just shit-stir a bit.
