"She," he corrected himself, though after the explanation, Daryl could sympathize a little with her reasoning and why Carl wasn't objecting. Didn't make it right, but he certainly understood it. World here wasn't like how it was in their world. Animals weren't largely left to roam freely and become feral again. Those few left around Alexandria were valued and loved and Daryl couldn't blame anyone for wanting that semblance of normalcy. But here, it was just like it used to be, in the world that was. Humans occupying too much space and killing anything that didn't fit in with them.

"Maybe we should find a place for the family with a big yard, some woods, and just take 'em all there," Daryl suggested. And no, he wasn't joking. "Always wanted a dog."
