so, i've been thinking about just how her dreams might be different from how they were before, and while the nightmares started as just a doll that would ignore her, over the years it grew into a troop of sentries that would violently attack anyone else she might meet in her dreams

i think their current state might be dormant, overgrown with moss and vines, all positioned around a giant pandora's box bottle that holds all of kanaya's bad feelings. If the bottle's opened, they'll wake up again, but otherwise they might be safe.
