Considering apping into MASK OR MENACE? Want to dip your toes into the setting and get a feel of whether your character will fit into it? Or maybe you're just cruising and want to play around? Then you've come to the right place!

Pick any of the following scenarios below or feel free to make up your own, but don't be afraid to throw yourself at someone else's thread, either!

01. The city of Heropa is what one might expect from a small, bright and cheery place, where locals are friendly enough and local shop owners might offer a free drink to welcome you to their fair city. Some of the locals might thank you for always lending your service to the nation, while others might not say anything -- but if you have something nasty to say, better not say anything at all, right? This month has been a rocky one, and locals are beginning to eye imPorts with renewed scrutiny; if people like them can get superpowers, are imPorts really that special, after all? Some people usher their children away from anyone clearly not 'from around here,' while other natives may be brave enough to directly approach obvious imPorts and ask their thoughts on the war with Russia and what the imPort ambassadors are planning to do about it.

ImPorts are a divisive issues, even in pretty Heropa.

02. De Chima, Virginia, is a large city with a healthy economy, and though it's quieter, there are just as many citizens awed at your very presence. Look at you! Organic wonder! Science and technology are the lifeblood of this city, so you're likely to come across a good many locals taking your picture with the newest of devices. The imPort craze is at an all-time high, and you may find yourself cornered by overzealous imPort fans, media wannabes and opportunists alike, shoving cameras in your face.

Their questions are likely to be fairly mundane, however; get ready for an interview about your taste in romantic partners, personal underwear choices, favourite foods, and more!

Also, as the Halloween craze is reaching a fevered pitched, more and more children are running around in costumes of their favorite imPorts! Do you recognize any of these masks? Perhaps one of these costumes mimics YOU!?

03. Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania is populated by a whole lot of people who are having awfully bad days. With the emergence of locals with superpowers, many seem to have latched onto their new supercharged identities with an incredible amount of gusto. As your character walks down the street, they may find themselves accosted by a large man in his mid-20s, dressed in an ill-fitting spandex suit of orange and yellow. As he thrusts his finger into an imPort's face, the spandex rides up, turning into more of a crop-top, which he duly tugs back down before shouting, "You're not the special ones anymore, imPorts! Feel the wrath of Heartburn!"

Stupid name aside, he does seem to have superpowers as he breathes a large plume of fire. His aim still isn't great, though; it could hit the imPort in question, or be sent in the direction of a nearby local, or even a particularly flammable building.

04. Nonah, North Carolina, is the liveliest of all cities; loud, busy and there's some kind of energy in the air that gets everyone buzzing with excitement. This fine day, pumpkin spice seems to be in style, to the point at which you happen to be crashing an open pumpkin spice festival. From drinks to sweet treats to some other things that really, really shouldn't be pumpkin spice flavoured (pumpkin spice flavoured vodka, anyone? It tastes like regret!), everyone seems to be in the mood for the upcoming season.

Taste test a few samples and take in the hustle and bustle of the city, everyone! And hey, if just gorging yourself isn't enough, why not try your hand at the pumpkin carving contest going on? The competition is fierce!

[Yuu seems something of a somewhat regular sight of sorts in the area, with how often he lately comes over to see one of his friends living here. He almost barely pauses at the sight of a familiar uniform, half figuring it might be someone else imitating his from when he arrived.

But then he spots the familiar silver hair and double-takes. Shinya....? Shinya! If anyone would be better able to explain to him what was going on with Guren, it'd be him!]

Okay, okay, guys. I'm sure there are plenty of others around for you to go take photos of.

[Basically, shoo. As he approaches and looks to the Hiragi.]

Hey. Didn't expect you here.

[ It takes a moment for Shinya to realize who his knight in shining armor is with shooing the curious faces away from him and when he sees just who it happens to be, Yuu isn't the only one doing a double-take. ]

Ahaha, so you're my knight in shining armor, hm? And here I thought I wouldn't run into anyone I knew.

[ Guren, Goshi, Mito, Sayuri, Shigure. All people - his family - he would have liked to run into though Yuu isn't a poor choice with all things considered. ]

Is it just you here?

I'm really......not. But I guess I could say the same. Mika was here, but. I guess at least you're not Ferid or any of the other vampires. [Except Krul. She might be acceptable. If only so he could actually thank her for keeping Mika alive all these years. Crowley may be....tolerable? Whatever.]

You haven't seen any of the others then I take it. What do you remember back home?

[ Guren is the last thing he remembers. His gun drawn on his friend, looking into those eyes that blankly stared back at him in a cell meant just for him, pleading and begging and asking why; why had he betrayed them.

He's silent as he recalls that moment and nothing after it aside from waking up here and he smiles then to Yuu with a shrug of his shoulders. ]

You were there, weren't you? [ Back home he means. ] Not much more to say about that. Besides, that seems to be the least of our worries right now.

The last I remember back home was....you and Guren were in trouble. Guren was, so I...I took more pills.

[Somewhere in the back of his mind he might vaguely recall the proceeding fight against Crowley in attempt to rescue Guren but. It's not at the forefront. He frowns, shaking his head then, removing a hand from his pockets of his pants.]

Mika told me a little more, when he was here, but he couldn't say much if anything more on you guys. Still, for now, until the Porter thing sends us back, or we figure controlling it to send us back ourselves, we're stuck here.

[Which Yuu is still conflicted on, given everything back home. Given Mika's being sent back recently.]

[ Shinya falls silent as Yuu recalls his last memories before ending up here. He remembers that moment himself, the vampire - Crowley - that he and Guren had teamed up against to take out and discovered rather quickly that they were in way over their heads and tried to retreat. Gently, fingers brush against his chest in that spot the vampire had grabbed, nearly breaking his bones if not for Guren cutting in.

His jaw tightens for a moment at the stuck here comment, not liking the sound of that what with the state Guren was in when he saw him last and all the conflicting emotions that were surrounding that.

But, in typical Shinya fashion, he smiles a little, suppressing what it is he feels and sighs a little as he glances off to a couple of kids dressed up in funny looking costumes. ]

Stuck, hm? I guess we'll just have to see about that, won't we? [ Blue eyes look down to the other then and he hums. ] How long would you say you've been here anyways?

[Yeah. There are reasons Yuu has been frustrated given the timing of his being pulled here by the Porter. Not even Mika could reassure him Guren was okay. If anything what the blonde told him made Yuu all the more anxious. Still, now there's Shinya here.]

I just asked because it....it can be different, even for people from the same home. Mika remembered more back home than I did. But I've been here a few months now, I guess. Why?

[His gaze follows Shinya's, a small smile at his own lips as he sees the kids, who give a wave, recognizing Yuu from work.]
