[ her brow furrows, and she actually takes a moment to pause and consider the situation. then, with a sigh, jess reaches out, resting her hands on sarissa's shoulders. ]

I made him feel three bullets ripping though him and he barely staggered. The strongest pyrotechnic bullshit I had didn't do anything. You have no idea what he can do and he can just keep getting stronger.

( Her arms are hugged around herself, head dropping lower. )

Alison and Cosima and Sarah are the only good things about me, Jess. They're my saving bloody grace, I can't let him hurt them.

[ she quiets for a moment, absorbing that information. she can't blame sarissa for protecting her sisters above everything else. jess would do the same, after all. ]

[ jess scoffs at the explanation, clenched fists moving inside the pockets of her jacket. she sounds like she'd like to strangle him. ]
