( THE BASICS ) Name: Barry Allen Canon: The Flash (DCTV) Character's (approximate) age: 26 Character's powers: In a nutshell: Super-speed connected to the Speed Force. There's an umbrella of abilities underneath that, which include time travel, electrokinesis, phasing, super-reading, super-stupidity. Is your character registered/will they be?: Yes, registered. Where does your character live?: Heropa #18! Are you looking for roommates?: No, idts. What is your character's job?: Assistant for the Game "Ronnie the Aardvark: Better Be Quick: The Quickening" and he loves it.
( THE DETAILS ) RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?:
Barry's a CSI and is great at noticing the little details. He's compassionate, dedicated, loyal, one-track minded at times, incredibly kind, supports justice 100%, stuck in the past, and isn't able to forgive himself much. He's mostly emotionally driven and wants to save everyone, and wears it hard when he can't save everyone. He is also a big Beyonce fan.
What are your character's plans?:
Barry's from the beginning of Flashpoint, an alternate reality where everything that went wrong in his life is now right, and is living in a bubble of euphoria. He has yet to learn of the consequences of this decision. My plans are to essentially make him learn that he can't just go back in time and fix things, because that shifts things in his life, and is he really happy now that he has what he believes he wants when he doesn't have what had originally made him feel fulfilled?
He also hung up his cowl for apparently three months. While he's still fulfilling his role as The Flash, I'm hoping to have Barry pull back a little (since in Flashpoint he was happy to let Wally West take over and be the city's hero) and have him then realise that 1) people need the flash and 2) Barry needs to be the Flash. He isn't content sitting aside and not helping people.
I also want him to grow into becoming the person that he supposedly is in the future. Or his awesome DC comic counterpart where he creates the Justice League etc. Being a mentor would be awesome!
As you can see, my plans for him are to basically embrace his identity — which is being a superhero and being Barry Allen, because the two are intertwined. You can't have one without the other.
Does your character have a secret identity?:
Yes! The Flash! He's keeping this on the D.L. and so am I, but obviously he's been here before and there are characters who know him from the comics verse, so I'm happy for anyone who knows to know his I.D. And for anyone who does know him to even have fun and try and get him to confess/hint really obviously or subtly they know who he is and have him be oblivious.
Is your character open for pairings?:
Yes! Barry Allen will always love Iris West but I'm happy with developing something as long as it's organic etc.
Are you open to having your character get hurt? Or, for villains, hurt others?:
Absolutely! I'm cool with him getting hurt or incidentally hurting someone else. He's not the type to go out and hurt anyone unless you're Eobard Thawne. Barry's reluctant to even kill his enemies unless he's absolutely forced to, so, i'm cool with him hurting someone but it might have to be influenced by some outside source.
Is your character interested in teams?:
Yes! I'd love to get him involved with people and learn how to be a leader since Oliver Queen in his universe is literally a fail boat and sucks at teaching leadership.
What kind of plots are you after?:
Any that'll help me with pushing him to realise he needs to embrace who he is, he can't change the future, etc.
I'm up for missions of mass destruction.
Races, lol. Or training!
Friendship building, etc. Dubious relationships. Barry's great at believing in the good in people, so pairing him up with any villains who see themselves as villains would be great!
I'm open to everything!
Anything else?: Right now I'm a little bit slow with tagging but I do backtag forever! You can catch me at bogans for easy plotting etc.
