[Richard is pretty firmly in camp 'ignore the crime', because it was a jaywalker. Who cares?
His big concern right now is with the outfits these guys were wearing. He thought being a hero would be cool, and this was a pretty harsh reminder of the costumes superheroes actually tended to have.]
Do I...do I have to dress like that? That's optional, right?
[De Chima]
[Richard came all the way over here as soon as he heard that it was this world's tech hub, and of course he'd show up during a tornado warning. He ran inside the most formidable looking building he could find, his hoodie soaking wet.
After being hit with a bunch of uncomfortable questions about his love life and underwear (all of which he answered with 'pass'), he started to poke around at the various gadgets people were holding.
He was asking questions like "Are you working on this? Do you have a startup? What OS is this?", clearly hoping to find some people who actually worked in the tech industry rather than just being tech enthusiasts. If he was going to be stuck here, it was never too early to get an in in the industry.
...Also, one-hundred percent of his friendships were made via a mutual interest in tech, so there was that, too.]

[Why was everyone so concerned about his underwear? Was this an inside joke he wasn't in on? Did people in this world put a lot of thought into underwear?
Oh well. He'd gotten used to passing on these questions right now. Was he wasn't used to was being invited to a night club. A very snazzy looking nightclub inevitably filled with the exceptionally famous or rich or good looking.
If Erlich were here, he'd drag Richard into this club. On his own, however, this was very much not Richard's scene.]
That's nice of you, uh, no thanks. That's okay. I'm good.
[He puts his hands in the pockets of his hoodie and briskly walks away.]
