"I have the rest of the day to eat," he replies, though he takes his sandwich and holds his cup. "Do you want me to roll you or do you want to do that by yourself?" he asks. He usually asks.

It's not much, but... he's proud of the home that he's half-built for them, and he thinks that Charles will like it too. The walls may not hold memories the way humans do, but there's something about it that feels like it belongs to them. Well, that's what Erik's always thought.

And if not, there were always the photos.

"Are you sure you're not hungry? We could get something on the way. Or I could make you something."
