"You really think so? Well then, perhaps another day I could give it a try." He was more at ease in this conversation then he figured he would be. He wondered if, and when, Akira would bring up the fact that he was "dead", but grateful that he hadn't just yet.

He still had no explanation as to why he was seated across from him now. Living (if you could call it that), breathing, heart beating as he not has to move forward from what he's done. At least Shido has been dealt with.

"Why they believe that we'd want to be complicit in their fight against crime -- don't they have their own heroes to deal with such problems?" Bitterness seeped into his voice. He had spent the last two years enacting his own twisted version of justice and now was expected to do the same here?

He would not let his past destroy him any further than it had.

"At least you're not branded a criminal." He points out the tattoo on Akira's wrist.
