"It was fine," Charles replies a little airily. He doesn't think Erik actually wants to hear about his trip to the university, or the genetics lecture he gave there.

They arrive to the house and Charles looks at it curiously, noting that there are no stairs. It looks mildly different than other houses around it.

He eyes the key, too, then Erik and finally reaches for the key hesitantly. "You want me to open it?" he asks, not sure what Erik is going for here.
