Softly considering (possibly for July if things stay as busy for me as they have been) trying out any of the following...

Zatanna Zatara a la Young Justice flavor, closer to the end of the first season I think. The only time where talking backward seems to benefit mankind! ... Approximately. She's more of the fun of a modern teen in modern times who isn't completely at odds with the landscape, and an old hat at the hero thing - if not yet at the publicly recognized at large thing.

Razer, that Red Lantern guy with (obvious) rage issues and even more about having fallen in love with an AI who formed herself after his dead lover (Aya no....) from Green Lantern the animated CGI series, probably from close to series end. I have no idea what to say about him other than the fact he makes me laugh and he's striving to control himself and his anger and hatred and rage and has improved quite a bit as a being over time!

23 or Zero from Inugami. Two wolf-gods who've just been born, and sent out to judge the fate of humanity! Early series for either of them, 23 has been hanging around with Fumiki and learning poetry, Zero from before the hunters start shooting the hell out of him for a chance not to have him by psychotic killer from moment one. 23's sweet! Zero... might... be okay if people treat him well! It's not a problem if he stabs cars with his tentacles is it... he does seriously have them sometimes, just like 23 has his spikes it's kind of mildly frightening??? 23 is much more sweet and mostly more sane (thank you Fumiki)!

Hilariously Peej was telling Cole about Zee, so YJ flavor Zee would be adorable. BUT ALSO RAZER because Lanterns!!

And I don't know anything about Inugami, but damn these characters sound really cool and now I want to check this series out.

i do love razer which i didn't expect when i started watching the series for the fun o fit all. funny how that happens!

hahaha i - will warn there is a lot of gore in that series (animal and people focused) though it's debatable if it's any better/worse than AoT in levels? not vore filled, but definitely gore filled. i did like the whole series, and it's older, from 96 as a start date, but i enjoyed my little horror series with a very oddball environmental message! it's kind of sadly cute when you realize the series was initially started because the author wanted to write a story about a super dog for their son...

... i'm so questioning the end result but apparently the son loved it

Oh my god, I can't decide. Zatanna is truly awesome, but Razer!!! As a Saint Walker player in another game, I may have to say Razer. I love that jerk. :')

I am entirely biased towards more animal characters (and feel like I should probably read Inugami because heck yeah wolves).

Inugami is so violent and sad in a lot of ways i warn you of this as a semi-decent human being there is so much death

and i love 23 and Zero never had a good chance, poor thing (i say poor thing when he ends up being an angerfueled murder machine)

there's definitely some bizarre stuff in there but i read it for the wolves and i don't regret it, even if the story was nothing like what i expected (i... didn't realize it was horror, but uh, i'm not sure why i thought it wasn't when it starts out with cat murder and murdercat)

Zatanna. Because, omg, Zatanna is the best and Artemis misses her SO MUCH.

But also, I love Razer like whoa. I actually wrote a truly terrible fanfic about Artemis and Razer running around the universe looking for their Significantly Missing others (which is part of why I was like, "I would really like to play a game with Artemis"--and also realized I failed at Razer) so I would adore seeing Razer in the mix. He's one of the best examples of how a character can evolve and grow (in only 20-odd episodes, no less) and it would be really fun to see him in this game.

So, what I'm trying to say is EITHER WAY, YOU CAN'T LOSE.

Not familiar with the third option, but I totally have faith that I would think he was awesome too.

Zatanna really is a lot of fun in the like... two threads I've ever been brave enough to give her a go in! I've enjoyed how she is in YJ, and kind of her own character movements through her parts of S1. Takes her later in canon prior to the end of the first season, but from during the counterattack on our favorite floating sky fortress... that'd be my temptation.

Razer I love too! I think my only concerns with him is that he and Annie might end up having a lot of the same energy to juggle, though he's much more bristly and liable to argue and get into things with people simply because. I love that about him though - and since I'm looking more at July than June, maybe we'll a) get one of the two, or b) I can toss up later in June in the test drive and see who I'm getting a better groove for!
