( THE DETAILS ) RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: I suck at this question. ;-) Um… skills… learned eidetic/photographic memory and dead reckoning, strategic analysis, microexpression/body language reading of others and control of his own, undercover chameleon, unarmed combat, firearms/sniper, pilot (though hasn't tried any available vehicles), escapology, stuff I'm forgetting… Likes: his friends, the fact that HE HAS THEM, teaching kids self defense (without recruiting/training them for war), watching the sunset from a fire escape, being in the woods (walking alone, snogging with Jyn, smashing boulders with Kay). Dislikes: bigotry (anti-droid a big one), hypocrisy, self-aggrandisement, manipulation, power mongering, people (esp kids) being hurt/used/made to fight, using and warping peoples' real values/concerns to self-serving ends (CONSTELLATION AAAAAAUGH), violence, killing, lies… his old job really… Urgent needs: not lose himself in old battles, stay calm, choose peace, spend a lot of time with his friends. What are your character's plans?: Give Kaytoo a fulfilling life, see what existence is like making certain big choices OPPOSITE to how he made them first go around (mainly: this time live for the micro rather than sacrifice it always for the macro; see how long he can go without fighting/touching a weapon; see how long he can go without lying), use the skills he got for often using/hurting people and see if they can be used instead to help people protect themselves against getting used/hurt, and love the hell out of Jyn. Or, for villains, hurt others?: Former: certainly; latter, yes, but would want to make it a thing ;-) (He's avoided doing most violence since coming here, and that he has done has been in defense.
