DAILY ROUTINE / HANDWAVED CR MEME



While we have our handy dandy bimonthly CR meme, this is a CR meme of a slightly different variety! This is strictly for your characters' daily routines and any kind of CR that's handwaved away.

1. Post a top-level with your character, detailing their daily routine - where they work, where they live, what they do, whatever you like
2. Comment to others and plot around with how your characters would run into each other
3. Comment to others you already have CR with with what they do with each other on a regular basis

EXAMPLE 1:

PLAYER A: My character works at a pizza parlour, frequents brothels, has a bad ping-pong addiction and frequents all the senior homes for RAD COMPETITIONS.
PLAYER B: My character just happens to be a pizza-addicted TABLE TENNIS CHAMP, let's have them compete and run all of the poor old people out of their own homes.

EXAMPLE 2:

PLAYER A: My character is a kleptomaniac television producer who spends all of their time stealing food from the actors and giving it to the poor.
PLAYER B: I know that, and I love you. We already have CR. I think our characters 420 BLAZE IT every Sunday.
PLAYER A: CORRECT.

Ken Kaneki

- Lives in Nonah, at a farmhouse, with Daryl, Mako and D33.
- Is a ghoul which means he is strictly a cannibal. He can drink coffee and water too, but that's about it.
- Was human until the age of 18. No one knows about this anymore since the ones who knew left.
- Is officially dating D33.
- AMAZING COOK it'll make you cry.
- Works at and owns the :Re Café that sells amazing coffee, human blood and parts, it's also a "modern museum" and a book café too.
- EATS SO MUCH no one would believe how much this guy eats.
- Has connections to underground criminal gangs, solely so he can take some of the bodies of the people they kill. He also takes bodies from criminal imPorts. Basically Kaneki is the guy you go to if there is a body you need to get rid of.
- Spends all his money on books. He's seen at old and small bookstores that sell books for like 10$, and buys them all.
- Has chronic insomnia so he spends the night training.
- Passes out in really random places, like that park bench, or near that fountain, or better yet at someone's doorstep.
- Is mentally ill (ptsd, paranoid personality, anxiety and depression, identity disorder coupled with amnesia, co-dependence on parental figures and psychosis. Suicidal ideation, though recently has come to the conclusion he wants to live, he just doesn't have a reason to why). Is actually on therapy with Dr Chilton on Mondays, but doesn't tell him nearly enough so that goes so so so so slowly.
- Is so lonely and so tired.
- Will get attached to father and mother figures SO EASILY if you aren't careful you might get a cannibal son without asking for it.
- Some people on the street still call him Haise Sasaki from the time when he was amnesiac/brainwashed and insisted he totally wasn't Kaneki.
- Has two groups of fans: "Kennibals" which are 14-18 years old girls who see him like Edward Cullen, and the "Sassakis" which are old ladies who loved Haise Sasaki when he worked for the police force. The first can be found at :Re Café sometimes, and the later are usually quieter and will fill kaneki with kisses on the cheek when they find him.
- Investigates way too many things and was part of the team that found out about OTO and Heaven Scent.
- Likes to take notes and write FAQs.
- Has a lot of questionable friends (Dooku is his mentor, he likes Dio a lot.... sweats...) and continues to make questionable friends.

Remy LeBeau/Gambit

1 Lives in Heropa with Lorna Dane.
2 Is job Hunting.
3 Casually cases every place as a potential target of thievery.
4 tends to be on the look-out for threats.
5 Wanders a lot right now.
6 Likes kids and will talk to them if he encounters them in his wanderings.
7 Gambles, and wins, a lot.

As Beth settles into life in-game, the following are currently true:

1. She's living in Nonah and has been assigned to #005.
2. She works as a jingle singer for commercials and also does some voice-over work for them.
3. She's still trying to figure out if she wants to go back to school for real or just try to catch up on her own, so it'd be possible to catch her around the local high school while she's sorting that out.
4. Is lowkey in the process of buying some clothes/furnishings/&cet. as she settles in. Clothes-shopping is the for serious one, haha, since it's REALLY EXCITING not to have to wear the same clothes for weeks or months at a time.
5. In general, she's also REALLY ENJOYING air conditioning indoors, lmao. Hanging out at the mall, going to the movies, sitting in coffee shops with a fluffy frothy frozen drink, whatever, bro.
6. She sings under her breath without thinking about it on the regular, and nowadays, that ends up accompanied by potentially noticeable visuals.
7. When she sees people walking dogs, she asks to pet them.
8. She's probably going to all the ~fun~ things in Nonah at least once, just to see it, and eventually in the other towns as well.
9. Also lowkey trying to figure out the whole hero thing. She's not keeping her identity a secret, but she has cordoned it off a little--she wants to be Anthem, defender of innocent bystanders, but figuring out how is a work in progress.
10. Possibly out there lowkey being That Person in music stores / coffee shops / wherever else noodling around on piano or guitar. Until she's able to save up for her own, she's gotta take them where she finds them. She's more likely to play Neutral Milk Hotel than "Stairway to Heaven" at least?

There are probably plenty of other options, too, so if you think of something that might be fun, just lmk! Since she's still really new, I don't want to rule anything out. :D

Iris West

• works in Buds n' Bulbs as a florist and as a freelancer for a Heropa paper; she's hoping to climb the ladder and secure a full-time position
  
• (she'll also eventually freelance for De Chima and Nonah, just give her time)
  
• writes articles on Florida Man and his terrible exploits. Florida Man is actually James Jesse; someone should inform her of this in the near future.
  
• if anyone needs a journalist period, iris is your gal! interviews and exclusives are her bread and butter.
  
• ALSO writes Heropa political pieces. Think local election reminders, councilman has random scandal, etc etc.
  
• orders a lot of Heropa-area takeout. If you work at a restaurant or frequent a place, chances are, you've seen her order enough for an army (... or her and a speedster).
  
• secretly working on making Ace Instagram-famous with Terry McGinnis. They're mostly succeeding.
  
• On that related note, she has a public bwitter at iriswest; her bweets are rebweets of articles, mentions of famous US journalists, and basically her climbing up her career ladder.
  
• Assists John Watson with the clinic in De Chima. She's no healer, but she has great organization skills! And she can summon a cup of amazing coffee out of nowhere.
  
• . . . on that related note, Iris can understand any language. And speak it. There's a high chance she's side-eyed you if you've insulted someone in say, Russian last week.
  
• spends a lot of time at the library in Heropa and De Chima. Or heck, just libraries in general. Knowledge is power, etc.

Tohru Adachi
- Lives in Heropa in his own place.
- Works everywhere. Like literally every porter city, and probably gets permission to do outside work as requested by non-porter city police departments.
- Has a pretty strong working relationship with all the porter city police departments, especially in Heropa, though recent native/imPort conflict has affected this.
- Well known in certain native circles for his relationship with Viktor. Viktohru shippers are an utter menace as far as he’s concerned and he hates it.
- Speaking of Viktor, Adachi spends just about every early morning working out with him before going to work. The only day this doesn’t happen is on Sundays.
- Adachi spends at least two hours every night skating at Heropa’s ice rink after close. He’s been paying the owner for him and the other skaters to do this for over half a year now.
- Sees Harley for therapy sessions on a regular basis. This increased a bit after the haunted house happened.
- Riza (his shiny Poochyena) comes with him just about everywhere. She’s helped him mellow out in recent months, and by now he’s had her officially registered as a therapy animal so he can bring her into stores and such.

Luke Skywalker
- Lives in Heropa #19.
- He’s right next door to Han, so he’s likely to be found there hanging out when Han’s off work.
- Works as a family counselor, though he only goes in when he’s got a session scheduled.
- Spends most of his free time trolling De Chima for junk electronics he can either fix, or tear down and build something new with.
- His room is probably a mess. Sorry housemates.
- Can sometimes be found trying to meditate on the beach.
- Is always the friend to check up on you and make sure you’re okay.
- Seriously, he’s the mom friend.

Squall Leonhart
- Lives in Maurita Falls #5.
- Seriously went through testing out of school instead of just blowing it off.
- Paces his room a lot when home, because he really has no idea what to do with himself here.
- Works as an intern at the Weather Network and absolutely hates it.
- If anyone demands a coffee from him again he will literally throw it in their face.

Jonathan Crane

The Scarecrow's daily life involves:

+ living in De Chima, with Harley Quinn as his lodger who hasn't moved out in six months.
+ spending more time at his job because of this; he's a clinical research associate at Wayne Enterprises.
+ secretly taking over local libraries without permission to read spooky stories to impressionable children.
+ creating hatelists which might be leaked to the network one day.
+ correcting bad grammar and complaining about the state of American education in his communications.
+ observing Bruce Wayne, who is not-so-secretly Batman.
+ collecting rare and first edition novels. He prefers old works to contemporary ones. He hates Sleepy Hollow because reasons.
+ owning an old television set that's never switched on. Until Harley moved in, anyway.
+ living with little furniture but having tons of non-fiction and scientific books. He is a shitty cleaner.
+ keeping a stock of fine alcohol and spirits purely for the aesthetic.
+ writing in his diary about fellow imPorts; his observations read like research notes.
+ designing a costume. He is not insecure or anything how dare you!
+ hating anti-intellectuals with a passion; his intelligence is how he primarily identifies himself.
+ never sleeping or getting to rest until well into the early morning.
+ searching for new projects he can be fascinated by. He especially wants to teach students.
+ checking his reflection in the mirror. He finds mirrors fascinating because he was scolded about vanity by his sermonizing great-grandmother.
+ being acidic, spiteful and bitter in anonymous columns about people who piss him off.
+ taking long, hot baths which are how he spoils himself at the end of the day.

richard campbell gansey iii

-works at Kaneki's cafe as a barista--gaggles of high school girls sometimes come out just to watch him work and request cute latte art

-Frequently walks around the Meadows eating avocado pizza. Don't ask.
-Maintains his beefy arms that he obtained by rowing by doing pushups while he is kept awake by his chronic insomnia at night.
-Likes Star Trek
-Enjoys reading space sci-fi, but also enjoys non-fiction history books and mythology/legends/conspiracy theories
-If he's sleeping, it's because he's passed out most of the time. His glasses sit askew on his face
-His living space is a disaster--piles of clothes everywhere, unknown if they're clean or dirty, book piles, cardboard buildings, plenty of plants lining the window sills, especially mint plants

Jonathan Walsh

- Lives in Heropa 004.
- Works for StarkTech.
- Will be on Big Brother 3000 soon, so there have been posters and advertisements with him. Most of them have involved him in his skin suit, but they seemed to have managed to get a few images of him as his natural, lizardy self.
- Goes jogging every morning, and works out at the gym three nights a week.
- Eats a lot of junk food, but sometimes eats healthy, too.
- Thanks to Archie, he now has some very basic cooking skills, so occasionally makes himself food, but he still eats out a lot.
- Sometimes hangs out at Kaneki's cafe, just because he likes the ambience and Kaneki's coffee making skills.
- While his actual appearances in his natural appearances are relatively rare, there is a disproportionate amount of furry fanart involving him out of his skin suit.

Kang

- Just moved in to a new house with Aurican on the outskirts of Heropa
- Occasionally bounces around town for his work as a civil engineer
- Prefers dive bars and goes out to one at least once a week
- Runs SELF, so he ends up speaking to a lot of other non-humans at some point
- Rides a motorcycle, sometimes in his draconian form like the badass he is
- Takes online/night classes at the nearby college (engineering and physics)
- Drops a lot of money at butcher shops

Director Krennic

WHERE HE WORKS: Director of De Chima's children's theatre troupe currently, but I'm requesting a job change where he'll be FUNeral Director of the Death in Our Stars. That's right, folks, he puts fun in funeral and u at murder, also SWAG at planet destroying.

WHERE HE LIVES: De Chima! But I'm planning to have him visit Mauritia Falls sometimes, since that's where the nightlife is and ayyyyy partyyyyy.

WHAT HE DO: Screaming. Incessantly. About how sucky his current job is (bitching oops), Rebel scum, his "very important project" (winkwinknudgenudge DEATH STAR), how important he is, etc. Also, get angry at the slightest of things. Not to mention preening himself and his own ego. I'd say he's a sweetheart with a BAD temper, and that's true from a certain point of view (*finger guns*) but damn, he needs anger management classes.

WHAT HE ACTUALLY DO: Failing at everything and getting laughed at by everyone. Also punching people and intimidating them, and yells at them to get their job done quickly. Even at the children he's forced to work with. Fun times. At least with dead people, there will be a lot less people to yell at.

♟Works at Pour Decisions Pub in De Chima and loves it, seriously come drop by for a chat. If just want to poke Eli and have no ideas this is your best bet, he'll talk to anyone.

♟ Cad Bane and him are discussing some business. If you want Eli to note your character and then pass it along to Cad (especially if they look dangerous, dodgy or trouble!), please let me know. It'd be awesome. On that note, all extra money Cad is giving Eli is going straight to charity, if your character runs/is part of one and would like donations HMU.

♟ Magnus suggested visiting the library to catch up on linguistics and stuff from this world. So anyone wants some library shenanigans?

♟ Current daily activities; he goes for a run early in the morning around the area. Some afternoons he goes to the grocery shop for food. Schedules a lot of shifts at the bar, he loves his job and he wants to save money for the holidays.

♟ What's he doing? Recently arrived so he is learning still. Library and gym excursions are in his future. Hanging out with the rebels without knowing he is. Slowly being drawn back into the role of aide to the FO, successor of the Empire. Learning to control his powers both his void ability and his eidetic memory - it'd be great if he could have someone mentor him a bit about abilities and such? HE DIDN'T HAVE THIS BACK HOME OK IT'S HARD.

♟ Stuff? Eli is super easy to get along with as long as you don't insult Thrawn on the other hand if you compliment Thrawn he will love you forever.

He's very much against murder and genocide despite his affiliations. Thanks to Kanan's tough love Eli is on the fence about a few things and can on a deep, subconscious level admit that the Empire is wrong, he has no plans on starting any fights with the rebels.
