Roy Mustang

Name: Roy Mustang
Canon: Fullmetal Alchemist
Character's (approximate) age: 29
Character's powers: Roy is also known as the Flame Alchemist—a title given to him when he became a State Alchemist. As the Flame Alchemist, Roy is able to create and manipulate flames in the air. He does this by using his gloves, which are made out of a material called ignition cloth and contain a transmutation circle etched on the back. With a snap of his fingers, the cloth creates a flame. He then uses alchemy to change the chemistry in the air so that he’s able to manipulate the flames in any way that he wants. In addition, Roy can manipulate fire from anything that creates a flame (such as a lighter) if he has an array on his hand. This can be seen in his battle with Lust.

While powerful, Roy’s alchemy is also one of his greater weaknesses. If his gloves get wet or destroyed, he wouldn’t be able to create a spark. This is true even when it rains, and many are quick to point out that he is “useless in the rain”.

It should also be noted that, while Roy’s prominent type of alchemy is the one mentioned above, he has a great knowledge of alchemy as a whole and is able to perform the basics of the science as well.

What is your character's job?: SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

( THE DETAILS )
RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: He was a Colonel for the military, and as such is used to being in a similar position, which is a bit of a shock here! He's a womanizing flirt, goes on lots of dates, enjoys teasing others, likes to show off when he can, can be quite lazy, hates the rain, hates kids, and most of all, hates paperwork. However, all of that is just a front. Really, he's very dedicated to his ambitions (in this case getting home), and is extremely loyal to those he trusts and, most importantly, his subordinates. He's smart and cunning, and often speaks in code when he needs to hide what he's saying, or needs to give off the impression of a normal conversation.
What are your character's plans?: BASICALLY TRY TO FIND A WAY HOME. Being involved with a corrupt government is not something Roy isn't used to, so he will continue to play the good loyal soldier card until he sees the right opportunity or gets enough information to either go home or expose the government's plans. He is also going to try and get on either the police force or in law enforcement/in some job position that will get him closer to the government and closer to what he's used to (which I will probably do this month).

In the meantime, Roy's been trying to get as much information as possible about the Porter and the government, and has been spending his time looking around for potential informants (Ie Greed). He's been keeping an eye on Lust, because he knows what she is capable of/who she is, but now that the Lieutenant and the others are here, he's not terribly concerned as he knows that they'll probably be watching her as well. In addition, having everyone else here gives him a good opportunity to get even more information about everything, as it means that he'll have trustworthy eyes around the city in multiple places. Since the last swearing in ceremony, he is particularly interested in those government buildings that were blacked out on the map, as well as any other facility that is affiliated with them. He would like to infiltrate them at some point in order to understand the government more, which might be possible once he actually has a government job.
Does your character have a secret identity?: No, he's too smug for that.
Is your character open for pairings?: Not really into a serious relationship, but he'd be more than willing to go on a few dates/flirt with women!
Are you open to having your character get hurt? Or, for villains, hurt others?: Yes, to both!
Is your character interested in teams?: Yes, definitely!
What kind of plots are you after?: LITERALLY ANYTHING. My dream in life is to actually get to do a whole operation, complete with code names, secret messages passed down with flowers, fake flirting over the phone, and ending up in getting useful information, but I realize that would be hard to do (MAYBE? I CAN DREAM?). I'd love to have him establish some sort of network of informants, which basically means having people he can trust tell him information, or even share information with each other, in order to understand what the government's up to (WHICH COULD THEN LEAD TO A POTENTIAL OPERATION????).

I've also noticed that he's been extremely serious while here, which is a shame because HE'S ACTUALLY A HUGE DORK, so I would love the opportunity to get his other side showing. I realize that's mostly my fault, but that means flirting with women, being overly dramatic and sighing a lot, teasing others, etc, so any potential CR that would allow that would be great! I also really love doing dumb, stupid things. In fact, it's my not-so-guilty pleasure. SO ANY DUMB PLOTS, I'M ALL FOR THEM. Whether it's roommates leaving gross experiments around (I'M LOOKING AT YOU HANGE), or bus shenanigans, playing laser tag with him, spilling coffee on him, literally anything silly/stupid.

His skills... Well, he's getting better with the superspeed stuff and he's relatively charming in a cocky jock way. He also can dance, he just doesn't do it. His hair is very bouncy! ...okay, let's face it, compared to most characters he's kind of just an average high school student.
What are your character's plans?: He is trying to live by himself for the first time ever, master his powers and be a good hero, find people to play basketball with... Oh, and I want him to design some shirts to sell.
Does your character have a secret identity?: No, but he thought about it.
Is your character open for pairings?: Yes, in a way. I mean, he has a girlfriend back home and very down the line there might be a ship with a canon mate, but I'm open for any complications, requited or unrequited crushes, all the teenage drama along the way.
Are you open to having your character get hurt? Or, for villains, hurt others?: Yes, of course, though I'd want to plot it out to make the most out of it.
Is your character interested in teams?: WHAT TEAM? ....sorry, I had to do it. Yes, he is, both in the sense of how he wants basketball teams and also in how he wants to be a good hero.
What kind of plots are you after?: Well, teenage drama is kind of obvious with the character, but I actually often play a lot darker characters and I'm definitely open to anything in that direction as well. Corrupting influences, rivalries, negative CR could be a lot of fun. Romantic drama as well, over the top and what not. Plus, I definitely want to get him more involved in doing actual hero stuff.

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?: On the surface, Light is pretty easy to get along with. He has a habit of reading the other person he's talking to and trying to say the right things, just so he can have a smoother flow of conversation. He's eager to help others and catch criminals, which go along with his strong sense of justice. He's also eager to prove himself.

He's also kind of stubborn and proud and SECRETLY A MASS MURDERER AND DOESN'T KNOW IT but that part doesn't really equate given his current canon point. He doesn't hesitate to give his opinion and if you get on his bad side HE WILL FROWN AT YOU FOREVER.

What are your character's plans?: Slowly ushering him back into the flow of the game after a month+ hiatus; eventually I'd like to get him more involved in the law-enforcement side of things, all the while juggling his university education. IN THE FAR FUTURE there are plans for a canon update, but I'm not thinking about that just yet; but I'm open to talk about it if anyone wants to make super long term plans.
