okay so once upon a time one of Dustin's best friends ever went missing, so he and his other two best friends went looking for him in the middle of the pouring rain and it was muddy and dirty and terrible and gross. and then they met a girl in the woods, and Mike basically fell in love with her.

Dustin didn't, actually, bc at first he thought she was kinda crazy? and then she showed off her superpowers and saved his and Mike's life from bullies and he upgraded her into crazy but like awesome and a superhero. and then she disappeared for a year, and Dustin unexpectedly ended up missing her a lot, bc he'd come to care about her as a good friend. now she's here! again! and Dustin is quickly discovering that it's fun to hang out with her and tell her about all the things she missed out on bc her lab rat upbringing sucked. also she does a lot of soap-watching and while Dustin is always p confused when it comes to soaps (didn't they do that plotline weeks ago???) he is totally willing to sit with her and watch dumb soap operas. sometimes dumb soap operas featuring imPorts.

one day he'll introduce her to Star Wars and it will be a Joy.
