man Dustin is so in awe of him bc he works!! for baby Darth Vader!!! and he hasn't died, which in Dustin's admittedly limited experience is already impressive enough. he greatly respects Rex and sees him as a valuable source of information on a galaxy far far away that Dustin has only until now seen on movie screens. there's just one slight problem: Dustin is trying very very hard not to let on just how he knows about any of this. he's failing really badly at all his deception rolls probably but goddammit he's Trying here. and he doesn't want to be the guy who ends up telling Rex that, oh, hey, by the way, your general ends up becoming an evil black-clad murderer one day, pass the mustard. like, that feels like something someone else should spill, since Dustin doesn't even know how that happened.
