you know what? Hange feels strong approval for Cass. Hange is a person who's asked a lot of questions and done a lot of research in the face of people who want to repress her, and she has a history where she was an angry person driven by hatred and negative feelings, so actually she had an immediate subconscious feeling of kinship with Cass when Cass started asking her demanding questions from her. In fact, probably no one besides maybe Padme and Riptide have learned so much about Hange, and they haven't asked her those pointed questions yet so maybe Cass wins!

Cass' scolding and irritation honestly rolled right off Hange's back in light of all that. She likes Cass a lot. If Cass walked by on the opposite side of the street Hange would immediately cross over and turn around to walk with her to talk to her more. She'd help Cass if she could and would like to work with her on some research eventually.
