SO. Lucina is probably the most honorable duelist she's met, but considering the competition that's honestly a pretty low bar. But that's okay, because Lucina is impressive in other ways! She's brave, and noble, and kind and gracious and all that other fairy tale prince crap. Except she's a princess. Whoa, paradigm shift! However, as much as Utena is fond of her, she's a little lost as to how to deal with her sometimes, mostly because of the culture shock between Lucina's high fantasy fantasy land and Utena's magical realism/weirdo surrealism fantasy land. But don't worry, after she gets used to Lucina she'll learn to roll with it.
Anyway, their friendship could go one of two ways at this point. Either we'll get Option 1, where it becomes a friendship of equals with the both of them learning from one another, with a little bit of Utena looking up to her as the senior swordswoman. Orrr we'll get Option 2, where rather than just admiring her, Utena will idealize her as a dashing fairy tale figure instead of an actual human being, which would be just unfortunate. That said, Lucina has enough eccentricities and little quirks that will help ground her image in Utena's mind, which could help prevent a complete interpersonal disaster.
