We were created for the Republic, continued service when it reconstituted as the Galactic Empire after a failed Jedi coup. [He'd gotten used to explaining this in some form or another to locals and imPorts from elsewhere. Easier to just say it all out straight, like a report.]
Some of the early batches were trained by Mando'ade, but not mine. I was trained to be infantry, following Imperial values only. [And he was not in any way ashamed of that. Regardless of the Empire's imperfections, the key principles behind it were still good. Or at least, that was what he knew he'd been conditioned to think. Trying to pick apart his own brain never got him very far on subjects like that.]
