It's long and it gets in the way, and she hates the way it feels when it touches her neck or gets caught in her collar...and actually there's kind of a laundry list of reasons why she absolutely hates her hair down.

Compelled to act, Adora reaches up and tugs down the band tying her ponytail up, hair falling down her neck in a blonde wave. She shudders, then shakes her head from side to side, so at least it's kept off her skin by her collar.]
