I top-levelled at the swear-in -- my first random thought is maybeeee they spot each other when the chaos is first breaking out, so Luther charges over like "I MUST PROTECT THIS TINY GRASS CHILD" but then Fern yanks a literal sword out of his body and easily stabs a robot, and Luther's like "w......ait, what......" ?
