She misses Poe's voice in the calls of the crowd, but she doesn't miss his face. There's all of a half-second where she starts to say his name, but then his arms are around her and all she can do is let out a breathless little squeak at the embrace.
If the world goes a little wobbly it's only because he's hugging her this hard. It's not because she's so relieved to see him she might cry.
"Geez, Poe." She hugs him back, pressing her face against his chest to make sure he can't see the start of tears. She doesn't cry, as a general rule. She didn't even cry at L'ulo's funeral. She's not about to start now.
As soon as she's blinked the tears back, she looks up at him, smiling. "You'd think I hadn't seen you yesterday."
