He gives Finn a ghost of a smile and an arm squeeze for good measure before Jess speaks and the smile fades again, his hand retracting back to his sides and into his pockets.

"... Yeah. It's fine. I'll see him when I get home, right? So no point moping about it here."

It is painfully obvious just how much of that statement was an utter deflection, but he really doesn't want to think about it too much.

"But yeah, milkshakes sound good to me. A plate of bacon, maybe? Eggs... Yeah. We can finish the tour and then the three of us can go stuff our faces. I'd like that."
