There's an awkward stutter in Diego's face as the message from Ben comes in and he snaps his mouth shut after a second. "Actually, he- he's in the kitchen. Hang on." He doesn't waste another second in getting to his feet to disappear into the very empty-looking kitchen.
"Ben, come on. You can't do this right now." He hates this ghosting power of his brother's. Like he had just enough of his death still stuck to him that they couldn't get rid of the ability for him to just disappear on a whim whenever he felt like it. Diego's not entirely sure it worked that way when he was dead, that he had any choice in when he was or wasn't around, bar Klaus' sobriety level at any given moment, but still. "I don't know what she's going to do when she sees you, but we can't fuck with her when she's freaking out like this."
