More importantly, Marco has absolutely zero problem getting a 10-year old involved in things and also admitting that said 10-year old is smarter than he is and would have things to teach him. Actually, he's likely to realize that the genius kids are a great underutilized and underestimated resource and seek them out because he trusts no bitch. He's 17 so old enough that he can actually get things out of the adults sometimes/be involved, so he might be a good information conduit that way?
