Lan Wangji knows the effect he has on the juniors of his clan. He's used to seeing their faces light up when he appears, their relief obvious. They are far more emotive than he ever was. But for once, their places are reversed, and though the change in Wangji's expression is slight, his relief is just as evident for anyone who knows him well.
"Sizhui." He hadn't known the boy was here, and he's not sure he can really say he's glad that he's been brought here - to a foreign, alien world - the familiarity of his face is a welcome sight.
It gives him a purpose, in the confusion.
He tries to take a step toward him, but is halted by the screaming, giggling children about his legs. He glances back up at Sizhui, and a wistful nostalgia fills him. He can remember when Lan Yuan used to do this, even if the boy himself can't.
"I am." He finally answers the question, however obvious the answer is. He tries to take a step again, and the children scream with joy, grabbing him tighter.
... Well, this is a dilemma.
"You're unhurt?" Sizhui looks fine, but he still wants to check.
