The anger that he felt surely hadn't dissipated so easily. He also wasn't a stupid man, he knew why Twice had done what he had done, but he could have done that at an arm's length. He could have done a lot at a lot further than an arm's length. Being asked, however, in that timid voice if he was really rejecting him actually made him feel something, somewhere. His eyes flicked up and down Twice's own face, not saying much but giving him an incredulous look. Mad? Hell yes, he was pissed, but reject him for real? No. He hadn't done something irreparable or betrayed him personally, Shigaraki wasn't even there to betray. The only thing he could give him was a long sigh and the one-ish inch that he slid closer to Twice as they continued to talk. That was all he had in him.

"I know you can, Twice, or you wouldn't have been asked." Shigaraki's voice was a little more even and he was dusting off his hand on his pant leg from the poor casualty of the rock. "The faith I put in you back then hasn't changed." Just the level of how irate he was happened to be what he needed to work on. As for his sudden cocky change and idea that may as well have lit a light bulb above the leader's head.

"I'm going to ask you an unconventional question, Twice. How much do you trust me? With your life? In my actual hands?" Important again and he knew the cover of keeping it down to look like a normal conversation.
