Annie doesn't see a point in isolating away into another school system it's going to be chancier with fewer imPorts around, so here we are! WELL YOU WERE SAYING YOU WANTED CR WITH SKYE!! So here are several lovely opportunities (omg thanks so much for writing all this out, geez):

1) Skye's naturally curious and an investigator at heart so she'd love to help with the Hornets stuff. Her main area of expertise is tracking people electronically (hacking into security cameras, following money trails, etc), so that's a possible avenue.

2) Skye also LOVES going undercover. Ballroom dance competition? SOUNDS LIKE FUN sign her up.

3) Lastly, Skye can help with virus removal too. SHE'S HANDY LIKE THAT.

And of course I want to continue to do all the weird and awkward failing at being a teenager things between Annie and Mandrake/Nathaniel. (Stiles is currently dragging him out to the movies, after much protest.) Getting them to hang out may be difficult, since they don't go to school together (Mandrake opted to do the GED instead LMAO HE HATES THE IDEA OF SCHOOL TOO MUCH) and they're both somewhat antisocial in that way where neither of them would suggest hanging out for the sake of it... but if Mandrake thought that Annie could be useful to him in some way he would definitely make a point of seeking her out more...

I think we can figure things out with Annie and Mandrake/Nathaniel. To play off your last statement, what kinds of things would he see as being useful that he could use her for? (NICE GOING FOR THE GED BUT ANNIE NEEDS THE SOCIAL STUDIES outside of class wow studies her social peers, GED wasn't getting her that) She otherwise tends to run into people over seeking them out, and I think the only person she ever suggested hang out with her was to go on a boat. rotfl EXCITING LIFE OF ANNIE no wait she sorta asked when she was like WAIT YOU KNOW THINGS about computers at Inumuta but that was roundabout after trying to get dating advice for her roommates, but it counts, probably.

Crow manipulation - basically she is the resident Crow Whisperer. She can talk to crows, summon them, and make them do her bidding. They fight for her, gather information, and recognize her face and the faces of people near and dear to her.

Vocal replication - Kay can perfectly mimic any sound or voice she hears live. Recordings and network junk don't count.

Is your character registered/will they be?: Registered. Apparently, Great Thieves try not to cause too much trouble with the law. Also, she's doing this for the perks.
Where does your character live?: #007, baby. I won't stop with these James Bond jokes with her house number.
Are you looking for roommates?: I believe we're full up.
What is your character's job?: Juror-in-training at Teen Court/student/self-proclaimed token plucky teenage assistant to Edgeworth/THIEF OF THE TRUTH!!!

RUNDOWN -- what are your character's skills, likes/dislikes, urgent needs?:

SKILLS - Kay makes friends easily, and is a cheerful happy ball of sunshine who endures no matter what life throws at her. She has some degree of knowledge about gadgets and computers, because she operates Little Thief, a device that allows her to replicate crime scenes using holograms by inputting info and coordinates. UMMM well even before she started training with Akihiko and Alex Louis Armstrong, she could deliver a mean dropkick at the tender age of ten. While Kay has yet to actually steal anything, you have to admire her enthusiasm and optimism.

LIKES/DISLIKES - She likes making friends, hanging out with friends, Swiss rolls, ninja shows, having fun, playing pranks or telling jokes or trolling people, investigating, TRUTH AND JUSTICE, NINJAS, THIEVES, playing around with Little Thief, and anything that gives her a thrill. What does she not like? Murder, crime in general, anything boring, seeing her friends get hurt...y-yeah let's go with that.

URGENT NEEDS - Nothing particularly 100% urgent but she could use some people in the law to guide her as a juror on Teen Court. That's the only thing that stands out. Anything else she needs is easy to grab, like CR, adult mentor/parent figures, etc.

What are your character's plans?: Crows going banaynay but that's more of their fault than hers. Right now Kay is focused on her work in the hopes of being a real juror and not one in training, she'd like to help out other lawyers and be an assistant for hire to earn extra cash for a hoverboard, she's still training, and uhhhh she's just doing regular teenager things in general.
Does your character have a secret identity?: No, Kay is very much open about her being a thief. And she'd like to make it clear that she is the only Yatagarasu around here (for now).
Is your character open for pairings?: Kiva and I already have a plan for her to eventually date Sanageyama for a short bit before they decide to remain friends. I'm open for pairings but I'd prefer dudes close to her age ahahaha
Are you open to having your character get hurt?: Sure, no problem. But anything that'll land her in the hospital will take some serious plotting and consultation with her CR. Psychological trauma...I draw the line at that because she was already traumatized as a kid.
Is your character interested in teams?: Absolutely! Kay can be a team player if need be, and she's very social.
What kind of plots are you after?: Adorable bromance/fluff/everyday silly things are always welcome, but I'd love some action and adventure. Since Kay has been learning how to defend herself, I'm sure she can hold her own. Basically come at me bro, show me what'cha got.
Anything else?: BEST TEAM EVARRRRR

YES GOOD. Also, Skye's already friends with both Reiner and Armin, and she's been teaching Reiner some stuff about how to use technology here. So it's possible Annie would have heard of her-- and Skye's definitely heard of Annie. She watches the network very closely. (She just didn't think the titan shifter stuff was any of her business.)

Mandrake basically is the embodiment of the book-smart genius with very little understanding of people trope. Unlike Annie, who's smart enough to realise that school is a worthwhile environment for her to learn how to interact with people in this world, Mandrake basically never considered that because he thinks it's beneath him and a waste of his time. The fact that he doesn't understand people doesn't even occur to him-- he thinks he does. See, his fundamental problem is that he automatically assumes other people are like him. That they operate in the same way. Quid pro quo. Everything is a business transaction, every man is out for himself. In his social circle, in his own world, this is essentially true-- so it's not like he hasn't had reason to feel validated in this opinion up until now! But in MoM, it's... not. The unspoken and understood rules that he has thought to be absolute that govern people's behaviour suddenly ... no longer apply ... and he's a little bit slow on the uptake.

Anyway, traits/things he looks for in other people are:
1) People in positions of power (job-wise), or close to them (such as assistants to important people)
2) Well-connected people, or people who are good at swaying public opinion
3) People who have connections to the law / investigations (whether it's in the police department, a lawyer's office, the private investigations sector, the coroner's office, the courts, etc etc)
4) People who are canny/ambitious/smart in the same way he is (because he knows how these people work so he feels more sure of where he stands around them and more confident in his ability to manipulate them if necessary)
5) People who have some kind of skill he can learn, or who are unusually powerful (it never hurts to have powerful friends :')!!!)

THAT SAID some of his best CR has come out of precisely none of the above. If someone doesn't fit into any of the above categories he's usually pretty rude and condescending to them, but Annie's already had the privilege in their first thread of seeing him be awkward and vulnerable and admitting to not knowing things, SO she has a leg-up. It's harder for him to be a shit to people who already know he isn't perfect... ha ha... ha...

So I'm a massive pile of lame and haven't replied to that log in the swear-in thing yet but I will be right on that. That being said, I'd totally love for Bart to start bugging the Shade on a more regular basis.

If just because he has this thing with Flash history. That thing being he wants to know everything about it since he, you know, never got first-hand accounts.

OH I HAD AN IDEA suddenly and randomly and since I read around on the CR meme and saw the whole ~regular teenager~ thing on your plot point list.

Bart is basically the perfect person to drag people into situations they really don't actually want to be in but just say yes to get him to finally shut up. (see: every episode of season 2 Bart's in) And then they normally end up enjoying themselves. It's either a curse or a special superpower.

Also they can bond over coming from horrible realities somewhere down the line.
