Honestly, I'm flexible! CR always tends not to work out exactly as planned, anyway - for him as the Blue Beetle, he specifically needs someone he trusts to help him out with hand-to-hand, but otherwise, he could always use more adult CR of folks that he trusts and respects and is likely to actually listen to. He doesn't have a lot of that quite yet!
