aww yeah it's question meme time
Time to bring back one of my old faves...

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character
3. ANSWER the question you were asked
4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!
QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.
Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

Joel | The Last Of Us

no i'm joking
how many plaid shirts does joel own
bonus question: does he have any duplicates
like an anime character who just buys seven of the same shirt
no subject
okay, well, plaid/flannel shirts. he owns probably about five that he bought from the shops in heropa. and he's got about two from home that are utterly destroyed/covered in old blood. he doesn't have duplicates as such but he has a couple of colour duplicates at least. a couple of red and black flannel shirts. (HE LOANED ONE TO JESSE. slowly turning your boyfriend into a lumberjack, skye.)
what does skye think about joel and jesse? as in, does she in any way suspect they're involved in any shady business together? or does she think they're friends? or?
no subject
Please remember that Skye's current mental picture of Jesse is that of a totally normal dude with a drug problem that's now in his past. She currently has no reason to suspect even for a moment that anything he's involved in is shady. She doesn't think Joel's particularly shady either, because she sees the best in people like that! And given Joel's overprotective nature, she doesn't think it's weird that Joel would go out of his way to get to know someone entrusted with Ellie's care. So yeah. Nothing weird about it at all.
Also I'm not asking a return question here because we already have another thread going on down below.

wrong thread to post this under!

Re: Joel | The Last Of Us
Favorite TV show and food before everything terrible happened.
What was the most heartbreaking moment?
no subject
if we fourth wall for a moment (i don't fourth wall but let's pretend for a minute), one of his favourite shows was breaking bad, ALTHOUGH HE NEVER GOT TO SEE THE ENDING because the outbreak happened on september 27th 2013, and the very last episode of breaking bad ever aired september 29th, 2013. SO HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO JESSE OR TO WALT. not that he got to watch much tv because he worked a lot and was frequently not home until after 8pm at night. he would TiVo stuff, though, and watch things once sarah had gone to bed, to unwind.
he was a fan of 'the colbert report' and 'the daily show', and often would watch 'the late, late show'. joel had a pretty good sense of humour back then lol. (he still does somewhere underneath all that assholery and manpain.)
his favourite food was (and is) steak. also liked to barbeque stuff, especially in summer.
his most heartbreaking moment, hands down, was when his 12 year-old daughter, sarah, died in his arms after she was shot by a soldier, on the night the outbreak hit texas, where joel comes from. it was his birthday, too. :(
what is ward's most embarrassing moment?
TW: ill parents? trying to be safe.
...Jesus besides being outed as HYDRA?
Ward realizing that Garrett wasn't well wasn't really embarrassing in the traditional sense but I think it hit him at some point that the guy was unbalanced and after the old man confessing he was dying Ward was really sort of ashamed of what happened to him and how he ended up reacting to everything that happened to him. Everything in his mind pointed to Garrett being a great agent
before he went crazyand to see him sort of fall from grace was...incredibly confusing not to mention painful. Like watching a parent succumb to dementia. He's just "what the hell are you doing?"So it's less his embarrassing moment and more "Oh my gosh I feel bad/am confused/am really fucked over by my surrogate father figure not!dad stop why are you doing this oh my god not dad please D:"

god. joel would... probably let ellie have time away from him. if she was like, idk, packing her things to go and stay somewhere else for a while, joel would probably just silently stand by watching with horrendous levels of guilt and bottled up crushing despair. he wouldn't know what to do or what to say, and he would probably know that trying to say or do anything would only make matters worse. :(
he'd give her space and then after a little while would try to talk to her. the whole time he'd been so fucking depressed and probably very unapproachable lol. he'd be so awkward around her, like literally standing around and walking around on eggshells, and would be desperate to mend the situation but wouldn't know how, would probably eventually leave her messages to awkwardly ask if she's okay and that he's just wanting to check on her, would probably try to make amends. he would be the saddest bastard on the planet, god.
UGH JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS IS MAKING ME SAD WHY DID YOU ASK THIS QUESTION
joel dies. what does ellie do? REVENGE QUESTION X-(
no subject
She would be a wreck. Everyone she loves dies or leaves her, but Joel was supposed to be the exception to that. He survived winter, survived 20 years of shit in their world, survived SO MUCH and for him to die would just tear her apart. Regardless of whether she knew about what he did, she'd mourn him for a long, long time, but hope he at least found some peace with her because he deserved it. And while she'd be a mess, she'd eventually pick herself up because she'd like to imagine Joel would want her to continue on. Find a reason to keep going :(
In MoM, where death is temporary? She'd be hard to console until he came back, if she weren't on the rampage. And when he came back she'd be hysterical and cling and not let go for a week :( don't go where I can't follow Mr. Frodo...
JOEL HAS TO GET ELLIE A PRESENT WHAT IS IT
no subject
JOEL BUILDS HER A TREEHOUSE. LIKE, A PROPER TREEHOUSE, in a big tree where she can go hang out. :( or maybe he'd write her a song :(((((((
what would ellie's perfect day be?
no subject
Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... wake up, Joel makes breakfast, hang out with Joel, play with Joel and dog, Joel takes them out to lunch somewhere new, eat so much they have to choice but to lounge around watching movies and napping, order pizza for dinner, watch more movies and she falls asleep on him :(
WHAT'S JOELS

once the very initial deep-seated shock had passed, he would be utterly devastated and elated both at the same time. he'd probably sob his eyes out while also feeling like he was in the presence of a ghost. joel would be a fucking wreck. i mean, he would have so many horrible flashbacks dredged up like you wouldn't believe of the night sarah died. he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it, and he wouldn't be able to reconcile the fact that she's actually alive again.
but then he'd move into fierce protective mode. he would become extremely overprotective, would keep sarah close at all times. he would so badly want to hide everything about the last twenty years of his life from her, wouldn't want her to know about the outbreak or about the world ending. he'd want to utterly protect her and keep her safe. he would become so overbearing.
and ellie... well, she'd become... not less important as such, but he would lose focus on ellie and would just smother all of his attention onto sarah. sarah, after all, is the sole reason he came to care about ellie in the first place - he began to see ellie as a replacement daughter, so to speak. he poured his grief and his desperate longing to have his little girl back into ellie, and she would no longer be relevant on that level to joel anymore. it would be pretty awful for ellie.
i could go on and on about this, because sarah showing up would bring so many complex and complicated things to surface, and it would probably change joel into an even more reclusive and untrustworthy person because of his deep fear of losing sarah again. hahaha it would just be an utter mess. :(
what is kotetsu's most treasured memory? and what is his worst memory?
