aww yeah it's question meme time

Time to bring back one of my old faves...

the QUESTION meme

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:

1. POST a top-level with your character name

2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

3. ANSWER the question you were asked

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!

We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.

Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

One of them would definitely be healing. Kotetsu still has a lot of regrets about not being able to save his wife, and one of his big insecurities is about how he can't actually protect people from things like illnesses, so being able to do something about that would be awesome for him. The second one would probably be something like...idk, teleportation, maybe. Because Hundred Power makes him fast and all, but it only lasts for about four minutes an hour and timing is everything with Heroing, so if he could get to the scene of trouble ASAP and ferry people out of harm's way easily, he could save a lot more lives. And perhaps cause less property damage. Maybe. The multiverse hopes.

Aaaaas for the second, at this point that would probably be Jaime! He's (as far as Kotetsu knows, ofc) just a normal kid with a happy life and family, so he'd rather he go home to his own world than continue to deal with Heropa's shit, especially since they've bonded in the past over how crappy the government is and all. Jaime's p. much the only one he knows well enough aside from those of his world to even say he wouldn't be sending them back to a craphole (as in the case of the AoTs) or death, and he knows Barnaby would probably kick his ass if he sent him back without him, and he'd miss him too much to do it anyway.

If Jaime was offered the chance to go home (no way to take his friends with him, and no guarantee he'd even remember them), would he take it?

Ahah I figured that healing would be one of them (which is why I asked for two), but teleportation... v good taste, Kotetsu; that's what I'd choose too. :') And his answer to the second question is ironic considering my answer to yours, though Kotetsu would technically be right! He would be doing the kid a kindness.

Jaime would absolutely not take that offer, though it would pain him to do so. It would be much more difficult to answer that question if Brenda wasn't around, but Jaime won't go anywhere without Brenda if he can help it. They're a package deal. Where he goes, she goes, or else he ain't going. He would, however, assent to send Brenda home in his place (and then she would probably reject that offer and possibly punch him for it). Even if Brenda weren't around, he would be extremely hesitant about taking the offer and would probably eventually reject it. He's all about Responsibility, and with the way things are going down, he'd feel too much like he's jumping ship to do it in good conscience.

AND BACK ATCHA. What's Kotetsu's favourite thing about Heropa?

awwww Jaime ;u; I kinda figured that'd be his answer, hahah. What a precious. /chinhands at him

And lmao, Kotetsu mostly resents Heropa because it's basically like his world, but shittier. Like, not in an active 'I hate being here' sense because he doesn't, but he still wants to go home and definitely would rather have never been here in the first place. `_` Pretty much the only thing going for it in the actively positive direction is that he's not losing his powers anymore, which means he can still do his job! Though it gives him conflicting feelings about his retirement back home, oops.

Does Jaime ever wish he could have some privacy in his head from the Scarab, or that he wasn't the only one who could hear him?
khajidont: (Jaime - ohmigod we're married)

[personal profile] khajidont 2014-10-15 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE THE TECH KOTETSU?? for shame. look at that silver lining.

And... lmfao oh god, the Scarab. Yes, he wishes for privacy quite regularly! These days, if he ever got close to power nulls and they silenced the Scarab, it would freak him right out, but that doesn't stop him from wishing for privacy... especially with anything to do with teenaged hormones. :') The last thing anyone wants when they're trying to have some quality time AHEM AHEM is a robot voice going WHOA HEY THERE YOUR HORMONES ARE DOING WEIRD THINGS SHOULD I LOG THEM? I WILL LOG THEM VERY LOUDLY IN YOUR EAR -- WHY ARE YOU STOPPING. PLEASE CONTINUE. MORE DATA IS NEEDED.

So yeah, I imagine Jaime had to sit down with the Scarab and explain to it that sometimes, he needed not to hear it, including that, in the middle of the night or early in the morning when the Scarab got bored, etc., etc.. He wishes that other people could hear the Scarab only occasionally, mostly because it's not fair to the Scarab, but is selfishly happy that they cannot; if people could hear everything it said, he'd be put under constant watch.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: what kind of teacher is kotetsu?

[personal profile] earnedmystripes 2014-10-15 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
lbr he probably thinks it's nifty and all but he probably can't use half of it anyway so

AND I THINK, he's the sort of teacher that students tend to be like 8DD EASY A with, except there's no grades in power-tutoring hahaha. He would be absolutely terrible at discipline, and if he weren't the sort of person who could win respect with how earnest and caring he is, kids could easily trample all over him.

He's 100000% positive reinforcement. He'll always find something positive to say about the kids' progress even if he's privately thinking what are you even doing oh my god, like how when he visited the academy and was inwardly like 'these powers are all fucking terrible' he was still like YOU HAVE A GREAT SMILE!!!! I think he probably gravitates most toward the kids who are the least sure of themselves wrt their powers, the ones who are like he was and don't really want to deal with them in the first place. Honestly, he probably doesn't have that much to offer those that are more naturally talented, since he himself is a learn-by-doing sort of guy who can't really teach fine-point precision.

Also he's totally that teacher that tries too hard to be cool and relevant to the kids and leaves them groaning and rolling their eyes, why this Mr. Kaburagi

GONNA SPRINGBOARD OFF YOUR QUESTION and ask, what does Jaime look for in a teacher! does he have any imPort teachers in Heropa and what does he think of them if he does?

[personal profile] khajidont 2014-10-15 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking he had Clara Oswald as a teacher but idk really I SHOULD POST A MEME FOR THAT ONE DAY. Anyway, he doesn't really think much about teachers in general. He thinks that school is okay, and as long as the teacher is tolerable, he doesn't think much about it. He's not so good a student that he'd be looking for a teacher who's actually great at teaching - as long as he can get a decent grade and get away with chatting in the back every now and then he's pretty happy. Extra points if they're gullible enough for him to sneak out with minimal fuss and muss so he can go off and do his superhero thing!

And yeah, he'd probably be one of the students rolling his eyes at Kotetsu. He's a nice kid, but he tends to hold people at arm's length, and attempts from teachers to reach out to him as an imPort have been mostly met with him patiently bearing it and then leaving as fast as he can. He got quite a bit of it after being locked up and he basically just said "yessir" or "yes ma'am" until they left him well enough alone.

Hassss Kotetsu made friends with any of his coworkers yet? I'm sure bits and pieces of the xavier academy is a clusterfuck

lol the ooc answer to that is that there hasn't really been any logging so he hasn't actually even met more than...like, two of them.....LMAO

but the ic answer is more like he's generally friendly with whoever he runs into when he's at work but he hasn't made any particular effort to get to know them or hang out there beyond work hours so, not really. Emma is his housemate and he's still an awkward turtle around Jesse what a surprise huh? :B aaaaand that's it.

Jaime's immediate & long-term goals for MoM?
khajidont: (Default)

[personal profile] khajidont 2014-10-16 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
