Time to bring back one of my old faves...

the QUESTION meme

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:

1. POST a top-level with your character name

2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

3. ANSWER the question you were asked

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!

We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.

Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

I'M EVEN LATE ON ANSWERING I'M GENUINELY THE WORST

bacon and eggs. and pancakes. does this all count as one breakfast because that's basically his meal.

UH. it's tricky because i don't think derek ever actually got to date forreal, like i genuinely don't think he's ever been on any kind of traditional date. i think his ideal is very stereotypical rom-com dinner and a movie and long walk home type date, but i also don't think derek sees that as a reality. like his track record does not really lend itself to that sort of thing.

so basically his ideal date is one where he isn't bleeding on his date, pretty much.

OH RIGHT ALSO A QUESTION in the same vein has loki ever dated or does he have the desire to date someone?

i wouldn't say loki has a desire to date as much as loki has a desire to connect to people. in a way he's always desperate to find a way to have and keep company, even though he's not exactly sure what to do with it when he gets it. he's a bundle of contrary feelings and his recall for such situations usually just creates more dissonance between what he wants and what he wanted then.

so not "date" but connect with someone, def yes.

and as for if he ever dated someone in the past that's a complicated question. before he destroyed himself his little kid self had a pseudo-girlfriend. and before he was reborn he had a wife!!!!

given the choice between:

being left alone to brood unbothered at the price of giving up his wolfdom

vs

staying wolf-y and having to socialize at least once/day

which would derek choose

the latter. definitely the latter.

like whether or not he stays a werewolf is incidental in this equation, derek just genuinely doesn't want to be alone.

derek is often alone and isolated by choice, but it's not really because he wants to be alone, it's because he thinks he should be alone, if that makes sense? like derek's pretty aware that he's a wrecking ball of a human, so in a way he tries to keep people out of the blast zone by deliberately avoiding company. he's evolving out of this, definitely, but it's still an ingrained habit, so.
he's also hugely socially awkward, and he's gotten way better at interacting with people because of stiles and scott's influence, but he's a quiet dude when it gets down to it, so he tends to prefer keeping to himself and controlling the terms on which he interacts with people. like finding the places where he fits and is comfortable is difficult for him.

but basically he would rather wrestle with all of that than being left to his own devices without someone barging in on him and inflicting their company on him, ja feel.
