aww yeah it's question meme time
Time to bring back one of my old faves...

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character
3. ANSWER the question you were asked
4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!
QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.
Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

I headcanon that his brother is a baseball player, so he tried to get into that as well but wasn't as interested. While watching his brother practice, he saw the track and field team practicing not far away and thought, "Wow that sport is way more beautiful," so he went and watched. Then he read like three books about it while his parents kept saying, "Honey your middle school has a track team, just join!" But no, he had to have the proper theory down first. He also watched a bunch of videos of different field events in action before deciding he wanted the vault to be his specialty (although I imagine he also did others like the long jump and stuff and sprints of course).
His parents were excited about any sport he wanted to get into because sports are good for you and good for college admissions.
I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HARU is there some reason for him liking red the best or is it just that delicious?

I actually did some research about red lures (and the thought that fish are more attracted to them) as they play a large part in the story. Also, early on, Haru dives into a box of lures and grabs one with a red stripe with his mouth saying it's delicious. He also has a preference for red miso, for no apparent reason other than it's red and it tastes better when it's red. Apparently the real reason fish like red lures has to do with the way red is more visible in underwater light, and there's some argument whether or not it's really superior, but by canon's logic, some fish and Haru's kind have preference for it. Yuki also sticks out to Haru because of his red hair, since he's half French - Tsuritama is one of those series where people (aside from aliens) only have hair colors found in nature. It's not 100% explained why Haru is drawn to Yuki and decides he's the one to help him on his mission, but I think it's strongly implied because it's because of his hair color. In a sea of dark hair, Yuki immediately stands out.
So there's a canon basis for fish (and Haru's species) to be attracted to the color red, and Haru seems to personally think things will taste better when they're red. I like to think that there are some rarer plants or small fish on Haru's planet that are very tasty and so he simply associates that color with the yummiest food.
Why did Rei choose red glasses? IIRC the character design decision was to make him stand out more, but did he have a personal reason for it?
