aww yeah it's question meme time
Time to bring back one of my old faves...

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:
1. POST a top-level with your character name
2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character
3. ANSWER the question you were asked
4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!
We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!
QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.
Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

Aracely - how is she currently handling life here in the MoM-verse? How does feeling people's emotions tend to color her perceptions of those around her, or more specifically, let's say her housemates?
Loki - actually I'd be curious for his definition of what "monster" means in turn.

it goes right into how she sees her environment in general. she has a good handle on what's hers and what isn't hers, mostly from experience and the way that she "catches" what people are feeling/thinking. there's a very big THIS ISN'T MINE to everyone who's not Kaine (Kaine gets a little more complicated). so they don't affect her directly on any unconscious level, and to her, it's not really "prying" because they're emotions that other people are throwing out there. it's why she has such a big understanding of people within the context of their environment because you can't look at people outside of it and make any direct conclusions. it's always people's perceptions + how they're being affected by their emotions. and she does it on a level that's simple enough that there isn't a really good way to express it for her.
As far as her housemates go, I think she sees her own perceptions in terms of their perceptions and the gap between their own perceptions/the outside perceptions of who/what they are. Since she doesn't see her powers as very invasive, and more encompassing and "connecting." So it's really just her trying to make people feel more connected instead of individual.
I HOPE THAT ANSWERS THAT, LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED THE POINT/SOMETHING NEEDS CLARIFICATION

I will start by saying that Loki's worst enemy is literally himself. both in terms of who he is now (with his particular self-destructive qualities) and who he [might be??] is in the future. He is constantly struggling to both be at terms with himself, who he was, the dissonance of emotions in his memories, and what kind of person that he wants to be. He has a low enough self worth at times that he definitely sees himself as a monster, and a particularly mounting guilt between what he did to get the body and roll that he currently resides in. (and while the situation wasn't entirely his fault, he still feels the brunt of it.)
So the term "monster" to him pertains to anyone who will burn anyone else for their own gain. As in: he was a monster. He struggles a lot between figuring out just what he's doing for other people and what he's doing for himself, so he's always wafting on what his intentions are, even when he's trying to be good. Really Loki, your own worst enemy.

BUT OKAY REALLY her type primarily starts with "is not Annie." When we look at the two examples of people she's shown interest in during the course of the series, it's a) the protagonist that does not act like a typical shounen protagonist, and b) the protagonist's best friend who is not classically strong, but very intelligent, and has a very strong moral base he operates out of.
Strength for Annie can be both a physical, mental, and emotional concept, but the strength she admires in others is kind of... a strength of conviction? So people who have things they believe in strongly, who do have things/people they want to fight for and will defend, who actually might demand anything out of the world other than what they're handed is attractive........... people who don't just go along with the way things are, and who get shit for it, but screw you guys, it's what they believe in. She admires people like that, or people with those traits.
People who are in touch with the fact they have emotions, who have strong beliefs that aren't about "let's fuck everyone over because I'm that selfish," people who do hold bonds as important are all part of that. There's a level of personal appeal too, and that's less broad sweeping, and she does have a soft spot for idealists IN SPITE OF THEIR IDEALS REALLY SUCKING AT TIMES (or being poorly thought through). Earnestness is also attractive.............. and intelligence can be, but so can just. Stubbornness. It's.
Just. A thing. Basically, don't remind her of the kinds of traits she dislikes in herself: someone who upholds things they don't believe in and hurts others. If you don't regret those things, if there's no apparent difficulty for you in handling that kind of distasteful stuff, she's not interested. Go away, leave her alone, you better be more in touch with your humanity than she's been allowed to be.
Granted I mean she sticks around and beats Eren up for being himself, and she apparently admires Armin enough to repeatedly not kill him when it's to her benefit, and Armin is largely notable for his traits as a person and his personal strengths and sense of self, (which Eren is also sure of, his sense of self), and sanity is... debatably... part of that..................... but it's a pretty big contrast between people, so the parts that seem to stick together have to do with certain passions and moral fibers that she. Uh. Lacks.
... thumbs up? It's complicated.
