aww yeah it's question meme time

Time to bring back one of my old faves...

the QUESTION meme

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:

1. POST a top-level with your character name

2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

3. ANSWER the question you were asked

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!

We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.

Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

He can agree with flying. It is pretty cool! (Being attacked by wild raptors, not so much.)

Marco's been laying low since his paranoia got the better of him and he's not trying attract attention. But now he's 85% sure none of alien parasites are here, he's gonna relax and try to hang around kids his age. He'll probably hang around the mall like a real 90s kid.

What are Jesse memories from the 90s, btw??

Oh man, Jesse is a total 90s kid. He was born in '84 so like... he came of age in the 90s and all his pop culture influences come from those days. Not much of a reader though (sorry, Animorphs). But you can bet he was that kid wearing the embarrassing Looney Tunes hip-hop shirt and skater shorts and backwards cap, basically idolizing the Ninja Turtles and having like a way major crush on the Pink Ranger. Radical!!! And then he got a little older and it was all Eminem and Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock. Pretty much just check out his band and you can hear the 90s. So intensely. And yeah he was a mallrat and skateboarding all over the place and hitting on goth chicks because he was really into their fishnet stockings and hey, yeah, he likes Stabbing Westward alright and he'll listen to your mixtape. Also attended many warehouse raves in an E-fueled haze, which is the best way to spend your Saturday nights when you're a libidinous young man.

In a way, Jesse never quite left the 90s. Bless him. He is keeping that wangster dream alive. Look at his stupid tribal tattoo. Glorious.

Speaking of the 90s, what are Marco's favorite pop culture things?

Haha, well I have no idea what Marco's birthday is, or even his age. Small hints tell that he might have been thirteen or fourteen when the series started and the war, and the only real timeline definition is that Clinton was still in office in the beginning and continue to do so until the series end. That said, there are so many references everywhere that it is actually hard to pinpoint what he really dig that time. There's obviously Sega and Nintendo, and he seems to like Baywatch and Xena: Warrior Princess and Powerpuff Girls later. In fact, a lot of the shows he likes to watch have a good portion of the female demographic. He watched a Star Trek movie once with Jake and Ax, who ruined the whole experienced by stealing candy from a kid.

Music is kinda weird because he once snuck into an outdoor concert which contained the music of Offspring, Nine Inch Nails and . . . Alanis Morrissette. Apparently he's a big fan of all three! And then there's Bob Marley, U2, Hanson, Puff Daddy, Backstreet Boys, and the Fugees. In the end, he just likes about anything as long as it is catchy I think.

tl;dr Marco just snaps out all sorts of pop culture references that it's just really hard to tell (or maybe I am in need of a re-read) what he's a big fan of, or he's just making a really snappy reference to somebody else's stupidity. I'm pretty sure he really does like Xena and Star Trek.
