aww yeah it's question meme time

Time to bring back one of my old faves...

the QUESTION meme

Simple and easy! Here's how it goes:

1. POST a top-level with your character name

2. REPLY to other people's top-level with a question for that character

3. ANSWER the question you were asked

4. ASK a question of that person's characters in return!

We go back and forth like this asking questions in a thread until one or both of us runs out of questions!

QUESTIONS CAN BE ANYTHING. Serious or silly as you want! What does Jane think of (x)? What does Sarah have for breakfast? How many times a day does Alex masturbate? What's Tom's dream job? The only limit for questions is your imagination.

Replies can be as monosyllabic or as tl;dr are you want; it's up to you. Go wild kids!

uhhh i guess the next person is heather. and then aiden. more because he feels responsible than because he liked them more than erica or boyd.

anyway jesus don't put thomas in a jar he's good people. they should probably talk about that.

can lydia cook?
immuno: (they call me 'homewrecker.')

loki gave her a jar ok it could happen.

not anything beyond super basic stuff like putting salad together and making mac & cheese or baked potatoes. her mom may be clueless, but she's definitely involved and a caretaker still.

under what circumstances if any would stiles ask for the bite

i think for him to actively ask, it would have to be a circumstance where scott wasn't in the picture, since i don't think scott would ever make him ask? like if stiles was dying or w/e - as with the brainscan stuff in 3b, it would just be an implicit offer, all ready.

but yeah, those are the circumstances. dire straits, near death, bite could fix it? sign him up. ask for the bite or watch someone he cares about die? he'll beg for it. maybe if he was marrying a nice werewolf or coyote girl and they had to do it to have children or something? so idk, like, under the same circumstances he'd sacrifice a kidney.

this is kind of new. he used to like the idea of being a werewolf — i think if scott had been able to offer back in s2 instead of lydia-mauling serial-murdring uncle crazycakes stiles would have taken it. but not hales, he's not... idk he wasn't into their concept of pack. he's since disabused himself of the idea that lycanthropy is in any way cool or more likely to keep him from getting hurt. he's watched plenty of newly made werewolves die, he's too anti-authority to enjoy instinctual submission to a hierarchy, he serves his function just fine as a regular human.

i'm overtired so none of that is guaranteed to make sense.

what's lydia's hogwarts house and why?

totally made sense.

lydia is 100% a slytherin. not only is she cunning, ambitious, and resourceful, but those are the things that she values most in other people as well. she constructs herself as a leader who prioritizes her own success/welfare over others, and shows considerable tenacity in getting what she wants.

even though peter hale also has all of those qualities, and he has them and he's straight up crazycakes and evil, using them to brutalize lydia, we still see her valuing those things. while she grows more empathetic, she begins to look up to scott's version of leadership instead of a more cutthroat, take no prisoners kind. leadership becomes about taking care of people and protecting them, watching out for one another, which suits the prevalent "us vs. them" attitude of slytherin, even if most people don't exactly pat them on the back for their loyalty.

obviously an argument could be made for ravenclaw, because there's no doubt that lydia values intelligence and has come to wear it as a badge of honor rather than hiding it, at the end of the day, intelligence is a tool that she uses, just as her appearance and charisma are. she continues to demonstrate cunning and resourcefulness, but puts it towards perhaps more selfless accomplishments than previously seen, which makes her look declawed when she's not at all.

what asoiaf family would stiles au to best and/or what would the stilinski house words be

I DONT KNOW OMG

I feel like I'm stalling the question game. but I'm so. ????? I have an opinion on every other TW character (Derek Baratheon, Scott Stark, Lydia Tyrell, Allison Tully, Jackson Targaryen, Braeden Martell, etc). but none for Stiles. maybe Lannister? a Stilinski always pays his debts????

does lydia wish the porter had swapped out her Banshee powers for something else?
immuno: (but it's always someone else's fault.)

i'm considering this an achievement tbh it's ok i'm out of question steam.

she definitely wishes they were swapped for something else bc lydia associates her banshee powers w feeling like a psychopath and being judged/mocked/all that insecurity. and it sucks bc stiles helped her with all of that but she feels super useless to help stiles with his which is i guess not part of the answer to your question but you have it anyway.
